Does the MK2 rev 3 have an ODB connector? If so, where is it located?

I have the same car. 10th Anniversary. And I have the same issue. I replaced the battery in the fob, but it makes no difference. I'm so close to the car to make the fob work, I'd be as well unlocking with the key
Anyone have any ideas how to extend the range or is this normal for an MR2?
