Re: [FINALIZED] 1998 UK Rev5 N/A. Tein coilovers, Enkei wheels, JDM parts

Magic Beans: You're right there . Although I've got to admit I've really enjoyed driving the 2 to work and back this week. Here are some dry pictures of the car, including the crack in the spoiler blade. Thanks to the Saharan dust it does need a wash again, and I'll be waxing it too before it g...

Re: [FINALIZED] 1998 UK Rev5 N/A. Tein coilovers, Enkei wheels, JDM parts

No problem, I'll get some more photos this week. We've not had many dry days this year so far in Manchester though .

Yep, I still have the original seatbelts. I planned on refitting them myself when I bought the car but never got round to it.

Re: [FINALIZED] 1998 UK Rev5 N/A. Tein coilovers, Enkei wheels, JDM parts

Cheers guys. Shame to get rid, but I'm going to be moving this summer and won't have parking for 2 cars. The plan was to turbo it until I bought the BMW :thumleft:

There's a boost gauge fitted in preparation for the turbo conversion, but it just reads vacuum at the minute .

1998 UK Rev5 N/A. Tein coilovers, Enkei wheels, JDM parts

I've decided to sell my Rev5 N/A as it just doesn't get used enough since I bought an M135i. edit to clarify: It's not a T-Bar, it's a sunroof model. The previous owner (IMOC Member) had it fully resprayed in 202 Astral Black Toyota paint (original colour). The wheels are correctly staggered Enkei R...

Fitting shift cable bearing kit

Hi,

I've got a shift cable bearing kit from Peter at SBITS and have just got round to fitting it. The instructions mention to lubricate the outer bearings and bell pin. Will copper grease do the trick here, or is something like moly grease needed?

Cheers

Nice one, that'll do! Is there a fitting guide anywhere?

Cheers

edit: Ignore me, just seen it comes with instructions :D

[Mk2] [NA] Gear shift bushes

Hi,

Where can I get a new set of gear shift bushes from for my Rev5? Is there a guide on here showing how to replace them? I've searched but couldn't find anything.

Cheers

16" Nissan Skyline R32 GTR GTS-T staggered wheels with new Hankook winter tyres

I have a set of staggered 16" R32 Skyline GTR/GTS-T wheels that I've been keeping as spares. They're in good condition, with just a couple of nicks in places and come with all centre caps. They have brand new Hankook I*cept Evo W310 winter tyres on. They are: Fronts: 16x6.5j 205/50/16 Rears: 16...

Re: Staggered 16" R32 Skyline GTR/GTS-T wheels

It's not the width that would be the issue, the widths and offsets are perfect for an MR2. It's the tyres currently on the wheels that might be too large. Here are a couple of links showing the difference in sizes from standard Rev5 wheels to the Skyline ones with current tyres. It looks as though t...

Re: Really really bad fuel consumption

Off the top of my head, i think they are Denso. That's generally what Toyota tend to use. There should be one in your B-Pipe (Manifold to Cat). Cheers. Is it accessible from the top of the engine on an NA like the Turbo? Just seen this guide: http://forums.mr2oc.co.uk/know-your-2-knowledge-base.htm...

Re: Really really bad fuel consumption

Mine's definitely running rich, you can smell it from the exhaust. What's the OEM lambda on these, are they Bosch ones?

Your YouTube links don't work, it looks as though some of the URL has been cut off when you've pasted them in.

Re: Staggered 16" R32 Skyline GTR/GTS-T wheels

Do it, you know you want to ;)

I'd fit them myself but just can't bring myself to part with my gold Enkeis , even though I wish they were 16" for the ride quality.

Re: Staggered 16" R32 Skyline GTR/GTS-T wheels

I've not tried fitting them yet as my car is too low . They're not massively bigger than what I'm running at the minute though, so you'd probably be ok as long as you have some kind of arch gap at the minute!

I was going to stick new tyres on, but have decided to keep my 17" Enkeis instead.

Re: Really really bad fuel consumption

No help here unfortunately, but my car is showing the exact same issues (Rev 5 N/A, 220-230 miles to a full tank & whistles like yours). I'll be watching this with interest, I thought it was normal fuel consumption! Is the MR2 not a 40l tank though?

Suspension options

Hi guys, What are the recommended suspension kits people generally use on a Mk2? Mine came with Tein coilovers on but the ride is too harsh for and is getting annoying now. I noticed there was a group buy on the Meister R coilovers, are they any good? I don't mind going for a shocks/springs kit rath...
