Re: Do MR2's Still Grab Attention? and Turn Heads?:)

Early for me to judge, but I had lights up yesterday in traffic in the day,and a kid grabbed his mum shouting 'wow, look at that car, have you seen where the lights are' made me smile as obviously pop-ups becoming less and less common since its quite a few years since anything was made with them. Made ...

Re: Help re wheels please. Bought new ones and they don't fit!

I got them fitted! No good pics as it was getting dark, but they're on and I'm thrilled with them. Will get better pics when I can,and when the ride settles back down as took these as I dropped it off the jack. http://i1052.photobucket.com/albums/s460/fruitymuffin/4d93f25bcd194d4b6d187aba7fbb3e0d.jpg...

Re: Help re wheels please. Bought new ones and they don't fit!

Just discovered my car has 20mm spacers on the back already,so I guess the rears would go straight on,but probably stick out too far. The fronts look like they would really be pushing the limit with sticking out too, plus the cost of new tyres for fronts it's looking like a £300 job to fit them. Gutt...

It was these pictures that gave me the idea, and I bought them without looking into it thinkin it would be a straight swap http://i1052.photobucket.com/albums/s460/fruitymuffin/29e1f7031a07670dbd8dc30cdcf8d871.jpg http://i1052.photobucket.com/albums/s460/fruitymuffin/624e52214d007e3c17d0b1d0b1315393....

Re: Help re wheels please. Bought new ones and they don't fit!

Thanks for all the advice guys - you've been a great help with all your technical info. Good to see I've found a good club to follow on from MX5Nutz. I've decided with the costs potentially mounting to fit these wheels it's not going to be economical (tyres and spacers will not be a cheap fix),so I'...

Re: Help re wheels please. Bought new ones and they don't fit!

The have 225/50/16 ZR on fronts,245/45/16 on rears.
Will they be ok at front?
And are these the spacers I need - eBay item no. 321043989334
And finally,do I need just a par for the fronts?
(Sorry- complete novice!)

Re: Help re wheels please. Bought new ones and they don't fit!

Only had a brief look in arches, and the shocks are black, genuine Toyota parts.
Too a pic to see my exhaust tonight,no name on it,but I'm guessing that's my cat bottom left of pic?

Yes,receipt for £500 from Toyota Canterbury for shocks and ball joints. Just added up and had 4.5k spent in last few years The exhaust looks way bigger than Mongoose. From YouTube clips it sounds like Megan. It is extremely loud - my wife can comfortably hear me a from indoors a mile away on nearest...

Re: Help re wheels please. Bought new ones and they don't fit!

Looks nice yours. Will look for better pic of fronts. Are drilled standard then? I've just dug out folder that came with car,and it's had several grand spent on it in parts alone by previous owner,I have piles of receipts, right down to bulbs, wipers, gaskets etc, plus Thatcham cat 1 install certificate...

Re: Help re wheels please. Bought new ones and they don't fit!

I think my car is lowered or stiffened,so don't want it firmer really as it already is! Wish I knew what had been modded on it. Can you shed any light from pics at all? I'm certain brakes have been upgraded. I think it's a turbo engine lid Suspension I have no idea,as per exhaust, don't even know if ...

Re: Help re wheels please. Bought new ones and they don't fit!

Very confusing for a novice after mx5 wheels! I really like stock anyway,so I guess that's gonna be my safe route. I just don't like what I have currently and want something different and quickly! http://i1052.photobucket.com/albums/s460/fruitymuffin/be87ce4ef0ddd19d70656e18e688fe01.jpg http://i1052...

Not knowing what I'm doing I guess I'll stick the wheels on eBay and hunt some stock 15's,or something that's been on an SW20

Re: Help re wheels please. Bought new ones and they don't fit!

Thank you. I'll research your answers as it's straight over my head as far as what I'd need!
I only tried a front, then thought there's no point trying rear too.
Do the Nissan wheels go straight on with no issues?

Help re wheels please. Bought new ones and they don't fit!

After seeing a number of SW20's with Supra 16's I thought they were just what my car needed. 250 mile round trip to collect them, all day refurbing them myself today, and they don't fit! They foul the springs for starters, and didn't seem that secure (possibly because the springs stopping them),but onc...

Re: Falken ZE914 Eco run Tyres - Opinions please

I think Camskill either lost contract for Toyo,or ran out of a huge bulk buy.
Bought Proxes from them before for my MX5,but they've been out of stock for several months now unfortunately
