Anyone want my spare T-bar roof panels? They're free to a good home, though if you want me to post em you'll need to reimburse the postage or arrange pick up. Located in Edinburgh. I need shot of them before I move house.
Stock and probably slightly baggy suspension on my 168k miles mk1 and I don't think it was a problem, having brakes that I knew I could push all session would have made a more dramatic difference I think. I could have been out longer, pushing harder!
I got a pair of front shocks from Toyota for ~£120 or so, not exactly sure but I remember thinking it was a reasonable price. Standard of course but that's the what everything else in the suspension system has been designed for.
Thanks Elbon.
MartG, I can see why you wouldn't want to sell just the hanger, I'll take the drivers side (RHD) caliper and hanger then. Do you want me to paypal you?
On mine it was the front anti roll bar drop links as suggested earlier, get under the car and give each drop link a good tug, if there's movement there's your culprit.
Last summer I took a pretty standard mk1 out on a track day at Snetterton. Mostly it was about learning a bit more about driving quickly and getting to know the car a bit better. I had expert tuition on hand all day as my father is an experienced racing driver who has driven single seaters for years...

Totally agree about the fun to be had sliding a mk1 around in the snow, the lack of any interference from traction control, ABS or even power steering makes it such a joy to dial in some oversteer and drift around. Lovely vid.
Elbon, thanks for looking it's appreciated.
Charger, it's a shame to hear that about Fensport, and your other point is noted, wanted ad. placed.
Can't post pictures or links up yet.
No, I have to say the hanger error was mine, the photo didn't show the hanger but when they sent the wrong caliper it did have a hanger. The explanation was "sometimes they have them and sometimes they don't, no I won't get you a hanger."
Wrong part first time was their mistake, they don't promise to supply the hanger and the picture shows no hanger so not necessarily their problem there. I do feel I've been treated pretty shoddily though. The pin is very pitted and corroded, I refurbed the rest of the caliper a few months ago and th...
Hi, a quick intro before I launch into the gory details, I've been a Mk1b MR2 owner for about 5 years and do a bit of work on it myself. I've also got a 60 series Landcruiser, what can I say - 80's Toyotas do it for me:) Longtime lurker but not poster. I bought a rear caliper from Fensport who sent ...
