Re: fan jet washers

Seem to be a bit similar to the one I´ve used. The Merc parts I´ve choosed have four outlets, one on each corner.

Re: fan jet washers

Will take a picture of that (with the trunk open) . Forgot the details as ten years gone in the meantime. :D But I´ve used existing holes and didn´t drill a additional one to the shell.

Re: fan jet washers

Moved my MR2 out of his shed it was parked the last 10 years, gave it a good wash and didn´t forgot the pictures of my washer nozzels modification I´ve promised. As told, very decent and difficult to notice: http://www.toyotacarina.de/mr2_rebirth_28.jpg http://www.toyotacarina.de/mr2_rebirth_29.jpg

Re: My AW11 Fritzinger widebody. Some years of work in pictures

Today it was moving day. I awaked my MR2 from it´s long sleep. Had a helping hand by my mate Marko with his VW Bus and the car trailer I´ve borrowed from my ex boss. Pushed the MR2 out of the shed it was parked for 10 years now and pulled it to the trailer: http://www.toyotacarina.de/mr2_rebirth_26....

Re: fan jet washers

Yes, I mounted only the nozzels from the Sprinter to the original MR2 wiperarms. It was a bit tricky to route the water hoses out of sight but the result is very decent. Will take some pictures when I come to my shed again next week.

Re: Little Update

The 116 hp 4A-GE was used in the european Mk1b with cat, too. It feels much less powered compared to the 124 hp "blue top" non cat ,but not only because of the bit lower compression rate they had to make the 91 oktan regular unleaded fuel useable that was widespread in that times. It was u...

Re: My AW11 Fritzinger widebody. Some years of work in pictures

I know that it was sold to someone from Belgium who plans to rebuild it to drive it in the "Slowly Sideways" series. The pictures I have shows it how it was when it was sold to this guy. The car was offered to me befor but I had no use for it and no space to store it.

Re: My AW11 Fritzinger widebody. Some years of work in pictures

Yes, it´s the original Fritzinger brochure or more the flyer as it´s only a singel double side printed card. I own two original prints of it and also had the pricelist as a copy that I unfortunately lost. The car on the photos shows some differs to mine. It hasn´t moulded gabs between the front wing...

Re: My AW11 Fritzinger widebody. Some years of work in pictures

The next challenge appeared. I´ll have to build one working part out of this two: http://www.toyotacarina.de/mr2_rebirth_24.jpg The upper one is the rear facing gear selector out of the 6 speed Corolla gearbox and the lower one the front facing gear selector out of an 5 speed MR2 gear box. I´ll have...

Re: My AW11 Fritzinger widebody. Some years of work in pictures

Most cars with AC have a additional fan and the fans are switched on by the AC. I did some AC instalations back in my time as a car mechanic and in the AC kits from Toyota was always a additional fan included I had to mount next to the stock one. My MR2 have no AC like every AW11 delivered to german...

Re: My AW11 Fritzinger widebody. Some years of work in pictures

The old radiator and the original fan shrouds are rotten and had to be replaced anyway. So why not replacing this parts with upgrade parts ? My solution may be overdosed but I wanted to prevent all possibilitys as I do longer trips with my cars and the heat stress while driving german autobahns is n...

Didn´t done much today. Painted the fuel tank black and the cooling and heater pipes silver: http://www.toyotacarina.de/mr2_rebirth_22.jpg And I´ve fitted the Spal fans ( aka "windmachines" as they move 1650 m³ air per hour) to the alu radiator using universal brackets from Spal: http://ww...

Re: My AW11 Fritzinger widebody. Some years of work in pictures

Spend some money again today. Picked up my engine from the metalworker who builded the custom exaust manifold out of the flange I´ve bought from Paul: http://www.toyotacarina.de/mr2_rebirth_20.jpg Later I drove to Luxemburg to pick up the 99 Corolla 6speed gearbox I´ve shooted at eBay at a embarrass...
