Re: Very Cheap Rev 2 Tubby - Mechanically and Structurally Sound - needs paint job
I don't see any but I'm really not an expert. However, I will quote Brian from Powerhouse last year, he said "I've never seen one so solid at this age." Which is what made me spend money on it in the first place. As I said though, come and have a look. If you come and don't like it it will...

Very kind of you you to offer support!
If it doesn't sell I may well be in touch. The only problem is with that bloody Audi it will cost me about £50 to get there and back! I filled it up on Thursday and it cost £115
I really need my head examined!

Re: Very Cheap Rev 2 Tubby - Mechanically and Structurally Sound - needs paint job
Hi Puku, The yellow stuff on the front is vinyl wrap so can be removed but the bumper underneath could do with replacing or repairing. It has a split in it that's about 2" long on the top. I can get more detailed photos if it helps. There is currently a similar car being stripped in Bradford an...

Very Cheap Rev 2 Tubby - Mechanically and Structurally Sound - needs paint job
This is a long story but this car is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants a project, especially if you fancy doing some paintwork because that is all it needs. I had started to write a long narrative telling the story of this car but if you're interested just ask! There are loads of photos ...

Re: mr2 beams?
Maintained correctly these cars are neither fragile nor prone to breakdowns. Bingo. Craig drove 1800 miles across Europe last year without a single problem. And he'll be doing same again this year. But don't be scared of getting a shed either though. My tubby was an absolute nail when I bought it f...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] SW20 Reverse Camera.
As I'm sure you're aware, the visibility while trying to reverse park is terrible! WTF! Sorry, i have to completely disagree. Plenty of visibility using mirrors, the car is short, square corners and a wing on the back telling you where the rear finishes. Amen to that. The only difficulty when rever...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Standard Air Filter Box Query
Thanks for the response mrturbotom.
I've bought the lower one too, simply because it wasn't expensive and so probably use it anyway but I understand what you mean. At least I have a spare box and AFM now!
And an induction kit!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Standard Air Filter Box Query
Thanks Red, I think that probably means I do need the other bit too. Here's a couple more photo's of the one I have already bought, i.e. the very first picture. http://i1252.photobucket.com/albums/hh572/TeamGavlar/temp/_14_zpsf89a1ea1.jpg http://i1252.photobucket.com/albums/hh572/TeamGavlar/temp/_15...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Standard Air Filter Box Query
Hi Rich,
The top one is definitely from a Rev 2 and I have assumed the bottom one is a Rev 1/2 too simply becasue it looks the same. I had also assumed that the Rev 3 onwards are different because they don't have the AFM like the top picture.
So I'm just confused!

[Mk2] [Turbo] Standard Air Filter Box Query
I'm replacing the induction kit on my Rev 2 Turbo with a stock air filter box. I've bought this one after being told it is all I need: http://i1252.photobucket.com/albums/hh572/TeamGavlar/temp/_13_zps58d340b9.jpg However, I've now seen this one and it has an extra bit (the bit to the right): http://...

Thanks bigal,
Looking at the first photo though, is there not something that should connect to that hole or I'd that the intake?

Is this the correct air filter etc?
I'd like to replace the induction kit on my Rev 2 Turbo with a stock airbox. I've found this but I'm not sure it is the correct version for the Rev 2 (it has a AFM but I don't know what a Rev 1 would look like). Would I need anything else or is this everything I need. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyot...

Re: rev3 fitting 180mph clocks and deristricting?
Errrmmm, in three posts on here you've said you've got 180mph clocks, 160mph clocks and finally 110mph clocks!! It doesn't matter though, the Stef Derner converter works with them all (it has a switch to either keep in mph or convert from kph to mph). And it delimits without affecting the power stee...

That is very very funny, it looks like the on-line aspect to the game is the best part.

Re: rev3 fitting 180mph clocks and deristricting?
My limiter was set at 119mph (on say nav, my clocks are kph). . I seem to remember the Stef Derner converters only work with 160mph clocks though ( I have been in contact with him to try and find one). I'm after a Stef Derner one Peter if it is still available? EDIT - that was rubbish! The 160mph cl...
