Re: Average AFR numbers from Rev3 3SGTE?

Thanks guys that's an incredibly helpful frame of reference! I'm sure the engine used to feel better under light acceleration years ago, but with issues like this it's hard to notice changes when they're gradual. Definitely time to dig out the fuel pressure gauge. Good call on the injectors, I haven...

Average AFR numbers from Rev3 3SGTE?

Hi guys, for a couple of years I've been suspecting fuelling may be an issue (be it pump/resistor pack/ecu) and so got hold of a Innovate AFR ratio gauge to better understand what what may be happening. I've been running it for around a month now and wondered what numbers people are seeing at a few ...

Re: Tale of two MR2's...Wilhelm Raceworks geometry kit finally fitted

I finally got round to building the new exhaust I've been talking about for a few years. The modular design of it could still happen in the future, hence incorporating the 'V' band fitting this side of the subframe. Few points to note in the design. 1) I used mild steel rather than stainless as I wa...

Re: Clutch bite point changing as engine warms up... Normal for Exedy stage 1?

Ahhh yes I know, apologies, I thought I had missed some kind of volume adjustment on the master or slave! Is the flexible hose that runs just before the slave still in ok condition? Not perished or cracking etc? It might not be leaking but could be changing in wall rigidity as the temperature rises....

Re: Clutch bite point changing as engine warms up... Normal for Exedy stage 1?

I fitted an Exedy stage 1 myself about 5/6 years ago and the bite point started about 1 inch off the firewall and is still in that same place now. Hasn't mattered if the engine is hot/cold/summer/winter, hasn't changed one bit. Damn good clutch, although I'm religious about not riding it or holding ...

Sorry to tag on to this but I haven't been coming up as a premium member for a couple of years now and I was reminded a few days ago when I saw the PayPal receipt! If I could be added to the list that would be much appreciated :)

This is looking really nice, some very tasteful mods going on :thumleft: Am I correct in thinking the Mishimoto lug nuts are aluminium?

Re: Tale of two MR2's...Wilhelm Raceworks geometry kit finally fitted

Thought I would give an update seeing as I've changed a few parts recently, mostly run of the mill things but still may be interesting. When I replaced my coilovers with standard struts around 4 years ago I made sure to get the rebuildable housing style, as I knew I would want the choice of dampers ...

Re: Important Update! Electronic Boost Controlers Waste Of Money!

Can't say that's been my experience. I've been using a Blitz duel SBC for well over 6 years now and it's been faultless. In fact this has reminded me that I need to update my build thread to include the 'deconstructed' nature of mine such that it fits within the push-button drop down below the ignit...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Steering wheel wobble above 70

This may be a very late reply to these issues, but I too have recently been encountering shake in the steering wheel above 60mph and more so under braking. My issues are also tied with a mild pulsating of the brake pedal when braking from these speeds which exaggerates the wobble in the steering whe...

Probably an unpopular opinion regarding cam belts

I appreciate what I'm going to say/ask opinions on is probably going to be quite unpopular, but I'm curious as to thoughts on the topic. Also this is all in relation to my rev 3 turbo. So, I'll be coming up to changing my cam belt for the 3rd time (1st after purchase, 2nd after an extensive period o...

Re: Tale of two MR2's...Wilhelm Raceworks geometry kit finally fitted

Little update, very little has taken place since buying our first house recently, however I have been working on the brakes in the evenings. I kept suffering with partially seized pistons on both front brakes. So I ordered up a new set of pistons and seals to rebuild them. I took the opportunity to ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] The Exhaust Thread

I had a Fujitsubo single exit number years and years ago, I desperately wish I hadn't sold it because it had such a nice note...compared to the CrapSpeed I've had for the better part of 6/7 years. In a way that's testament to the durability of it (that I haven't had to replace it yet- though I suspe...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Stock NA shocks with Koni inserts on a Rev 3 turbo?

Interested to hear an update on this. I purchased a set of N/A rebuildable inserts years ago of GTSchris with the intention of running a very similar setup using Koni inserts and H&R springs. I got round to fitting the H&R springs and have been very happy with height and stiffness (compared ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Steering wheel wobble above 70

I know you're using genuine wheels and they're balanced, but...wheels centred on the studs rather than the hub flange will give you exactly this issue. I had exactly the same issue and it was rectified with some £3 his adapters. I can't see it being this because your wheels should be a direct hub fi...
