Re: Clearing Apexi Power FC Error Codes
power FC = standalone ECU so you will need a laptop or Power FC commander (hand held doo dah attachment for power FC) to clear the codes.

Re: will binning my space saver upset handling ?
If anything lightening the front makes turn in sharper. I remember when my wife and I eloped we used the frunk as a second boot I took out the plastic trim so we could get squishy hold alls into every nook and cranny - the car was a dog to drive. Not long after we got back I took everything out of t...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Suspension Swap
I'm really surprised that the rev -13 hybrid solution hasnt came up yet. IMHO the rev1 is racier primarily because of its sharper turn in due to the front geometry. However Rev1's got a largely unfounded bad write up for "snap oversteer" see Mr. Bezo's article on this phenomenon at http://...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Stock Rev2 3SGTE: 487.3bhp & 364.6lbft, 2.2 bar & 8100RPM
Great thread, I was going to go down a similar devil be damned tuning route when I still planned on going 3SGTE, as in before I fell in love with v8's. Im however curious about the oil specification - why run 15w 50 as I understand it the higher the numbers the thicker the oil, the more likely to fr...

Re: [All] [Generic] Link ECU - Windows 8
And in unrelated developments a new front runner has emerged in the Jayridium man of the year contest: I did get as far as wandering into John Lewis and installing PCLink on one of their windows 8 display models  That seemed to work fine, but I decided against walking in with an ECU, loom a...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Hub adaptors
Hi Mike, I have no experience of 5 --> 4 stud PCD adapters, but I did have a set of 5x120 --> 5x108 ones made for my Jaguar XJR to allow me to fit later model wheels onto it and I sent a guy from eBay PRECISE measurements, some from spec sheets some taken off the car and the results were outstanding...

Re: Frozen windscreen... On the inside...
Cheers for the recap on the handbrakes Slarty, but I had read that earlier, maybe I didnt make my intentions clear enough, my bad. My suggestion is for the guys who have split bellows on the cable, as evidenced by their handbrakes freezing on, that rather than rush out to buy new cables and have to ...

Re: Frozen windscreen... On the inside...
Some great insights in this thread - particularly the pingi / rice trick and the window adjustments. BTW if we use the poor mans pingi - the rice in the sock does that make our car a ricer :-p Oanyways, a quick little nugget of info from this nugget that might be useful for the guys experiencing fro...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] K36 UNL V12
with reference to the picture posted earlier: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v211/ratedxhustlers/fukuimr2.jpg would that "Integrated Custom Roll Cage", that seems to be made out of similar profile alloy tubing to that which Cusco make our strut braces from, actually offer any protection...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Poly bushed suspension fitted. driving feedback.
Yep, Toyota metallurgy seems to be pretty poor in this area, even our test bed, a 91 mk2 was seized solid at the back when weplaying with new pickup point locations. It almost seems like the choice of metals used are destined to bond together #-o still we cant complain as these cars tend to remain r...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Poly bushed suspension fitted. driving feedback.
Having done poly bush conversions on few customers cars recently I can attest to the ride generally feeling more supple afterwards. Generally what happens is the bolt seizes onto the bush, meaning that for the wish bone to move it has to twist the rubber. At his juncture the bolt/bush combination is...

Re: LPG Conversion
Sorry to but in at this late juncture but I happen to know a fair bit about LPG systems,... Typically LPG conversions don't add strain on the engine, as LPG is cleaner burning than petrol. Worth noting though is that LPG has a lower calorific value hence more LPG needs to be injected to create the s...
