Have to agree with tcb, always helpful in making sure I get the correct parts on time. 8)

Re: My suspension woes continue.. (skip to end!)

Maybe start a new thread and give your exact wheel and tyre specs. Tired suspension obviously won't help.

Re: Hello, I'm back!

Welcome back to the fold, that looks absolutely mint. Something very satisfying about a clean UK NA.

Agreed :thumleft: Will look amazing when they're a bit more tucked in the arch! (just a bit).

Re: Rev5 on autotrader

Yeah that is a bit high for cold idle. My NA used to start up at 1400ish in winter. But as said it's probably something simple like temp sensor or dirty iscv.

Can't believe how much decent NA's are up for now, my first Rev 3 was mint and sold for £1700.

Re: 17" Advan SA3r's

I will sound like a hand jockey so i'm really sorry  But to my eyes the Works suit your car better. Maybe it's just not the right angle. BUT I do love advans, as does any self respecting mr2 owner  so maybe a more subtle colour would do wonders. Love the colour on your Works, should work w...

Do you have a manual boost controller fitted by chance?

Re: Do I need a BOV?

I've heard that too ^ I have a question. I had two rev 2 turbos. One had recircc, one had a blitz bov. There was a noticeable difference in performance for me, to the point that I now recommend running recirc to Rev 2 owners. BUT now I have a rev 3, and it has had a forge BOV on since I bought it. I...

Re: Tin top owners - any regret over lack of T-Bar?

Even if theyre not leaking into the cabin they're leaking into your sills. But I'd like to see some one get both panels off and stowed and ready to go in less than a minute. It honestly takes a minute or less. Granted I do take them out a lot. How hard is it? Seat forward. Unlatch. Stow. Seat back....

Re: Tin top owners - any regret over lack of T-Bar?

None of mine have ever leaked either. [-( All the points above are subjective and differ from car to car. My tintop never felt lighter or less creaky than any of my t-bars. Buffering is only an issue above 60mph. Literally takes 1 minute to get both sides out and stowed. And IMO it looks brilliant ...

Re: Tin top owners - any regret over lack of T-Bar?

Love your wheels Gazza (and your car in general). Three spoke retro goodness. 8) Completely off-topic - I just renewed my premium membership and my last avatar reappeared; a picture of my last MR2 Turbo that I haven't seen for many years. What a nice nostalgia kick! I've always wanted a yellow one....

Re: Few questions.

wind noise is the seal, search for it there are a number of topics about it. Not a hard fix 15s prob offer the best handling but offer very little in terms of tyre choice. I have 16s on min coming from 15 and find the steering much heavier. However there is now decent rubber on the wheels so it doe...

Re: Tin top owners - any regret over lack of T-Bar?

I have only read the OP, not the thread. I actually missed a t-bar massively when I owned my tintop turbo, so much so that I sold a good, solid car which I had broken my back over, to buy a t-bar. It was obviously more important to me that I wanted to admit. Nothing beats hearing that spool and whoo...

Re: Westfield Motors Rayleigh Essex

Thanks both. Don't mind paying a bit extra as it's local and as long as they find the issue without trying to shake me down! I did try to book with them before a day or two before and as you say they were too busy to fit me in, so I called a week ahead this time and no issues. Glad to hear you...

Westfield Motors Rayleigh Essex

I'm going to these guys for a few bits and a check up on Monday. Heard they are very experienced with toyota and mr2's. Anybody have any experiences of them?
