I rarely read threads of this nature as they're often a carbon copy of what someone else has previously done.
It's rare that people try something new.

Re: BMIC (Boot Mount Intercooler)
It would be much more cost effective to opt for water/methanol injection. Except water/meth injection doesn't do the same thing as an ic Here comes a can o' worms.... The outcome is the same, a reduction in intake temps. plus water/meth runs out where as an intercooler, no matter how inefficient, d...

Re: BMIC (Boot Mount Intercooler)
Increased lag as you're running longer piping. A little increase in pipework isnt gona cause a massive amount of lag, unless you have loads of joins that is. Anyway if your running 400bhp who cares if the turbo kicks in 300 rpm later It will be more than 300 rpm as you'll be running a larger turbo ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Lost of oil in turbo air intake and air pipe Turbo Rev 3
I wouldn't dump it on the road, It's dangerous especially for riders. I would catch it in a bottle that way you can measure it. Edit.. the rev3 has a catch can and drain back so shouldn't be getting puddles of oil in the intake :-k It does but it also has a breather pipe that runs from the catch ca...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Lost of oil in turbo air intake and air pipe Turbo Rev 3
When did you last clean your intake pipe? Oil vapour from the breather pipe will build up overtime.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Attach a catch can to the end of the breather pipe
(that's currently potentially dumping oil on the road
) and go for a spirited drive, how much oil is in the catch can afterwards?
