The clunking is terrible. It sounds like the while front of the car is about to drop off. I'll have another play around tomorrow & see what else I can rule out being at fault. Still, new top mounts can't do any harm over the 19 yr old ones that at on the car.

After taking off the wheel & manually lifting the hub I'm inclined to thinking it may be the insert. The noise is defiantly most noticeable around the centre of the shock.
It's a bit of pain as I just got 2 new TRD top mounts that were a bit expensive & may need to buy a new insert.

i've had my drivers side front wheel off today to investigate an annoying knock when driving anywhere over any road surface. Also theres a hel of a lot of vibration between 70-80. I have recently had the car tracked and balanced and both came in fine. i've checked for play in the hub and ball joint ...

What do you guys recommend as a good size wheel? I can't decide if is Gould get a 330 or 350?!

Everyone's favourite friends in Bradford have a Rev 5 tubby. Apparently!!

Hi dudes I was driving my tubby home tonight & my drives hub bearings basically disintegrated leaving the car in drivable.
Question is this; I have a uk rev 4 also, are the hubs interchangeable so I can switch them over?
My turbo is a rev 3 btw.

Shame it's not really a 10th anniversary tho.

I've just fitted a Blitz BOV to my tubby & after having a bit of a run out the boost needle isn't fully moving up. It was doing this before I fitted this new BOV. I've checked the vacuum hose & there's no leaks of splits.
Anyone have any ideas what I should check now?

Has anyone fitted wind deflectors to an SW20.
If so where can they be found & how do they fit to the car?

I was thinking of doing the same but as far as I could see recaro don't make any subframes for an sw20. It would be pretty easy to get some mounting brackets made that could modify the standard rails.
My mate did something similar with his vtec crx.
