Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Handbrake spring which one is fitted correctly?
not my arrow, just a pic found on the net. They are not too bad, you can move the arm with your hand. Should be able to man handle it into place. You were on the ball. for everyones knowledge. It was a tight fit to get off and I thought this is going to be a nightmare to put back on, but sure enugh...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Handbrake spring which one is fitted correctly?

I presume the one with the spring hooked in the square is correct? What is the force like on these springs am I going to be abl...

Re: Kitcar Project - MR2 the Donor
Noticed you swapped the engine out for a forged version, how's it going, what's power plans etc. Still undecided on the turbo? Have you got upgraded axles as these are able to crack going up the power. I'm sure knowledgeable folk will be able to comment. Its going well, engine is running well. A bit...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Turbo Flutter - with video
The Bov was on my rev 2 originally and plumbed same way with only the one feed to it.
It is weird it now does it though. Boost between gear changes is it a bit slower to build back up I think as well.

how is it injector options can be changed out of interest?
Yes it is like the mines / blitz, but I don't think the option can be changed from what I read, its set when the ECU is programmed back in Japan.

Re: [FINALIZED] Rev2 Turbo Fields ECU
If the part number on the main chip is D151802-9361 then that's the normal part. I'd suggest that at some point in the past it has had a daughterboard fitted but for some reason it has been removed and the main chip re-soldered back into position. cheers Jon, ill check it out. Bit weird never hitti...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Turbo Flutter - with video
Have you got an arc airbox or similar? Made my flutter sound louder. It's not a problem :thumleft: I run with no bov too  No but before I had the S bend with AFM of course. Now I have a 400mm straight metal pipe to the filter which is right next to the air intake in the bodywork. I did won...

[Mk2] [Turbo] How to tell if Rev 2 or 3 injectors?
I've removed my rev 2 engine and I didnt know alot about it beforehand. What is the easiest way to confirm it has rev2 injectors and not rev3, do they look different at all? Im Wanting to confirm because it has a field ECU which can be changed to run the larger injectors so need to make sure that is...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Cleaning engine and gearbox
The best stuff I've used by far was http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-LTR-40-1-CAUSTIC-TRUCK-WASH-TFR-VALETING-CHEMICALS/310147519093?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 I cleaned my whole engine with this. (took parts off I admit) and just left them soaking in it in a bucket of...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Turbo Flutter - with video
So ive installed a rev2 forged build with a rev3 conversion running a CT20b. I have a BOV installed which is an aftermarket one to atmosphere. Ive noticed at lower boost / part throttle I get turbo flutter and then at WOT or high boost the BOV does sound. The below video demonstrates. Is this anythi...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Can these pipes be blocked off & where does this one go
you can put the new breather further back on that line instead if you dont want next to each other. yeh boost controller can fit between turbo nipple and the empty nipple of the actuator also shown in the pic if you zoom in Did the turbo and acturator last night! Feel like such an idiot for asking ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Can these pipes be blocked off & where does this one go
Those 2 are not related. The turbo pipe needs to fit into the actuator (rerouting required if your running a boost controller) The other pipe feeds to the idle control valve. Fit a breather there. Standard the hose goes to the intake 'before' the turbo. Thanks for the quick reply, I could tell they...
