Haven´t done any good experience with a radtec chargecooler...way too small...that´s why we are using big liquid intercoolers on the engine bays gearbox side in any bigger build in germany.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oil and water temps on track - what do you see?
It works to well for street, you definitely need a thermostat when using it there. I developed it for my V6 Turbo Timeattack car and some friends have seen that part in my garage and had this on the car years before my car will run. The shroud will take a Setrab 330x146mm oil cooler, which is is big...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oil and water temps on track - what do you see?
You should take a look at the oilcooler kit from Underground Racing Germany for the MR2. You´ll definitely have no oil temperature issues anymore!!!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Track day pads
Also using Carbotech (but US) since years. Best pads for track after getting disappointed by all the big brands. They always works fine. When a big brake is fitted to the front i would use XP12 on the front and a XP16-20 on the OEM big rear.

Re: MR2 V6 Turbo - 3.5VZ-FTE EFR 9180
Thanks a lot for your feedback guys. That´s really giving me new energy to go on with that project!!! All parts are fully designed by me and manufactured by friends and me. The spoiler brackets are mounted where the crashbar is bolted to the chassis (instead of crashbar) and there are two tiny suppo...

hey what do you think about my equal length manifolds i designed for the next evolution step? :) I am definitely going to make turbokits for all Toyota V6 engines....first of all the 3vz and 5vz http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii61/iecku/1272692_502203733203317_917293491_o.jpg http://i261.photobu...

Re: MR2 V6 Turbo - 3.5VZ-FTE EFR 9180
The weak points of the 3vz are definitely the pistons and the headgaskets. But i found solutions for both things. Pistons could be custom made by wiseco. I got a set for the 3vz and the 5vz! The main issue why the headgaskets of the 3vz/5vu blew is headlift due to too thin stock headbolts. I got a s...

Re: MR2 V6 Turbo - 3.5VZ-FTE EFR 9180
@paul: Yes...some years ago and the engine still lives! In my opinion the engines could do way more in a well tuned application than their rep is, when being stock! :-D I just found the issue why my powerband was falling straight down around 6000rpm. It seems the bov opens a bit....i can see a small...

Re: MR2 V6 Turbo - 3.5VZ-FTE EFR 9180
Hopefully the heads, crank and rods will survive! I was thinking about boosting it to 1.2bar on the dyno. The rollers on the dyno only have 500kg total. So its moment of inertia should be way lower than with the car on the street, perhaps the clutch could hold it!

Re: MR2 V6 Turbo - 3.5VZ-FTE EFR 9180
Depends more on the power than on the boost itself! 2GR is no option in anyway! It´s a got na engine, but nothing more. I got a brand new 5vz block in my storage. So the question is and was, which engine i should go now. I have to change the clutch so or so! So the effort is nearly the same if chang...

I got already everything her for the 5vz.
2gr blocks break already in stock applications! aluminium blocks are never an option for high boosted engines!

Re: MR2 V6 Turbo - 3.5VZ-FTE EFR 9180
Hey guys
i started a survey on the german mr2 board. i asked, if i should push my iron 3vz to 1,2bar with a new multiple disc clutch or i should put the fully forged 5vz in the car. Currently they voted 30:8 for the 3vz!!! What do you think about it?

Re: MR2 V6 Turbo - 3.5VZ-FTE EFR 9180
Hey Guys I just posted only someof the pics the photographers made at the timeattack REISBRENNEN 2013. its europes biggest import car meeting with 10k+ of people!!! this year was absolutely insane!!!! The car ran fine, but the clutch had gone when going for 1,2bar of boost (~490whp/700Nm). Its a CM ...
