Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev2 Turbo with Bolt ons, what's next?
You can run low comp. pistons even on stock boost, but you will loose low end torque. Lower comp. pistons required if you want to run more boost on pump gas. But to be honest I'm running on wiseco pistons (9.0:1 I think) on 98 gas with no problems. Of course car is mapped accordingly on Adaptronic e...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] My rev2 rebuild log.
Well the ECU has turned up, Nice one Lukas. This thing is sick, software is good hooked straight up via usb. GUI seems simple to use. (i wont be playing around this this due to lack of exp) compared to my PFC this is on another level. Shame my car is still waiting for ramp time. They have had some ...

Re: Barn find - finally daily MR2 again
Took some more detailed photos today. There are some really bad spots, but I have another quite clean shell, so I think we will restore it :) It's not that bad I think. There are quite a lot of photos and I upload them all to my page in Facebook so I think I will not upload them here. I'll just give...

Re: Barn find - finally daily MR2 again
Weitecs are progressive. Need to decide now which would be better for my track car :) Shocks will be Ohlins inverted. They are really stiff. Ooooh very nice, where you getting the Ohlins from? It may be rusty but I recon a lhd eu mr2 is probably rare enough to be worth saving! :thumleft: I have Ohl...

Re: Barn find - finally daily MR2 again
The teins are a non progressive spring with rates of F: 154lb/in. 1.5" R: 274lb/in. 1.7" Wheras stuff like the eibach ones are progressive so have a variable rate F: 74-189lb/in. progressive R: 120-348lb/in. progressive So they stiffen up under load but ride better over bumpy roads. Cant ...

Re: Barn find - finally daily MR2 again
I'd be ditching the tein springs, the rates on those things probably barely match the konis at full stiffness! Get something like an eibach or h&r (non race ones) and it'll ride lovely on the road. Well as long as the konis are still in shape that is :thumleft: Do you mean teins are very hard? ...

Re: Barn find - finally daily MR2 again
Crickey! That'll be one project for sure.. What's the condition of it like underneath? I still didn't see it underneath. I know that both rear quarters are rusty. Also, I will have to change lower front radiator holder. And I'm sure sills are rusty as well. They don't seem to be from the outside, b...

I don't think I will go in such details as you did with your car, just want to solve rusty places and have a nice clean car

Barn find - finally daily MR2 again
Ok for me it's actually not a barn find. Car was one of my friends and I know it perfectly. It was just standing unused for more than 1 year so I called it barn find :) After I prepared my first MR2 for a track (which was daily before), I wanted another daily MR2 so much. I got this MR2 offered and ...

Re: Track car with a low budget | Powered by Adaptronic
OK I couldn't resist for this... Just got myself more work for a winter and it will be used as my daily car next year. It was one of my friends, quite beloved car, but was standing outside unused for more than one year. It has quite a lot of rust, but I have couple MR2s for spares so will cut and we...

Re: Track car with a low budget | Powered by Adaptronic
Season is over so I think I can end it with a small summary :) Firstly, I finally got my first stand alone ECU which opened possibilities to practically unlimited mods to the engine. And I am very happy with Adaptronic performance and how it worked flawlessly over the season. Now I hope that engine ...

Re: Standard Rev 1 Turbo Quicker than a Rev 3....or just my imagination??
I know what you mean, the same was for me when I fitted CT20 instead of CT26. With CT26 you have something like this: no power, no power, then instant power and then again no power :D That instant power was really good, but it was short. With CT20 I have no that instant power, but it holds boost to ...

Could this really be true?
Turbo engine lid is made from fiberglass (outer side) and NA is all made from metal I think.
