Re: Rev4 Turbo *mini photoshoot*

i wasnt after them acting like DRLs, they were really just a foglight replacement to fill the gap.

i didnt want them to always go on with the sidelights, they are super bright, so i thought next best thing make use of my redundant fog light switch.

Re: Rev4 Turbo *mini photoshoot*

as above, the drl idea works quite well, I've just recently picked up an mr2 and was starting to think about the drl option how have you wired it in? needs some tips for how to do it when I give it a go currnetly i have it taped into the fog light 12v feed. so my side lights need to be on to even g...

Re: Rev4 Turbo *mini photoshoot*

Right so, i guess i need to get my ar$e into gear with all my images, but uploaded these to imgur at least. What you see here is a new custom 3.5inch intake, can see ive reused my IC piping for the CC system, a bit more gold and how my pre rad sits. Still need to relocate my custom expansion tank ba...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Water/meth injection

Guides advise on nozzle sizes based on power output.
Not sure of size of mine specifically, but I got the size rated for 300ish hp.
Though I believe I’m running a bit more than that.

Am sure a google you’ll find the size you need.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Water/meth injection

unless you have progressive BOOST, then no its not valid. once you hit 1.3bar, it injects the same amount, no matter at 3k rpm or 7k rpm. so no its not the same as fuel injectors. But 1.3bar boost at 3500rpm is only consuming air at half the rate as 1.3bar at 7000rpm. So if you're injecting the sam...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Water/meth injection

im not denying its superior, however on the setup we are talking about from the OP, imo its a waste of money. what is more important is the position of the injector. as said, im happy your happy, my setup cost me very little (and ive no reason to cheap out on parts) because ive had experience of a p...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Water/meth injection

lol, you are choosing to get around what im saying when referring to your comments. i know boost isnt on or off, but YOU were comparing it to fuel injectors pumping in more fuel higher in the revs. unless your boost in progressive over a LONG rpm band, then its pointless. id bet on a stock turbo it ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Water/meth injection

on a large WI injector maybe what you say is more valid, but not the sizes that come with most of these kits.

you cannot compare a tiny WI injector to 4 fuel injectors.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Water/meth injection

boost is so instant i cant see the need for a progressive kit. by the time the boost switch see's the desired boost, your already at full boost anyways (on a quick spooling turbo like the stock one). ive run a basic coolingmist kit the last 2-3years. stock and blitz ecu. i have it turning on around ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] pre-rads.....extra fan required?

Surprisingly enough, I’m not worried about my cc water after having this setup for a couple of months. It’s more worry of blocking off the engine coolant rad. My coolant temps are up about 2-4c since sticking a pre rad in front of it. I run straight distilled water for my CC system. Is always cold. ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] pre-rads.....extra fan required?

Car had no aircon option.
So no pipework, fan etc

Still tempted to fit another fan, just to help things at standstill.

Re: Screamer pipe problem...

mad question, this external wastegate, it is vented to atmos, and not rerouted into the exhaust right? i would suggest looking at the vac hoses on the wastegate and checking they are plumbed in correctly.... also worth pumping in some air to one of the EW ports to hear it open and close (engine off ...
