Re: Premium membership
It was renewed because when you subscribe to something in Paypal it creates a rule in your Paypal account to regularly send the money, like a standing order in your bank account, until you cancel the subscription. Which you can do in your Paypal account at any time. There is nothing we can do about ...

Re: Email Problems with Hotmail and Outlook
News to me I have started seeing fewer undeliverable bouncebacks in the admin mailbox (it's now back to the regular content of thousands of crypto investment opportunities) so you might be on to something

Email Problems with Hotmail and Outlook
The forum can't email people with hotmail or outlook email addresses at the moment. Microsoft have blacklisted our entire server hosting company for reasons which are not really very clear. It means that if you have an outlook.com or hotmail.com/hotmail.co.uk address you won't be getting notificatio...

Re: Premium membership
I'll sort that out. When you subscribe as a Premium Member you tell Paypal to keep sending us the money every year. A lot of people think we take the money but it's the other way round. The link between the forum and Paypal transactions broke some time ago, but your Paypal account will keep just sen...

Re: Premium membership
Hey Chris - think that's just a hiccup of moving from the old forum's subscription system to the new one. Doesn't look like it quite worked though... more tinkering required on my part.

I think I'm sold... any ideas on places I could just buy a kit from to make my life easier?
I'm not actually aware of anyone having fitted one to a MK2... Just plenty of other things!
Easier to find someone in the UK breaking an M3 surely?

Re: Black Rev2 Tintop Turbo
Ah they go in kit cars and stuff fairly often. It's the system from the late E46 and it's capable of working completely autonomously of the other car electrics. Gives you ABS and DSC and you can turn one or both off at the push of a button.

Re: Black Rev2 Tintop Turbo
ABS I was debating yanking something from a MK3 MR2 as apparently they're happy to use the MK2s ABS sensors so could potentially get a better ABS system in situ. Lexus ABS sensors apparently work and fit in the MK2 so game plan was those ABS sensors and then a mk3 abs system. If not there is always...

Re: Black Rev2 Tintop Turbo
If it was mine I don't think I would bother keeping the ABS and TRC. The early ABS system is not very clever - it was improved over the lifetime of the MK2 and the rev5 system is fairly good for the era. The TRC is likewise pretty agricultural and it makes fitting aftermarket intake cooling parts mo...

Re: SW20 Rev 2 Fuel Tank Stuck/Jammed
You can check yourself, if you are careful. Elevate the rear of the car, remove the gear surround and trim etc inside the car and unscrew the round panel that holds the fuel float in place. You'll be able to see into the tank (which will be the cleanest part of your car by quite some distance). No n...

Re: New! 2021 Forum upgrade
A brief 5 minutes of downtime this morning as I resized the server back to being small again - I had increased the spec for the duration of the upgrade.

Looks like you knocked the "oute]" bit off the end. "[/qu" is still there. It should say [/quote] after the text you are quoting.

They are still there where they used to be. If you go to /forums/ the old info is all still there. However no further changes can be made. Here's yours: https://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/garage.php?mode=view_vehicle&CID=1993 - Maybe you could put it in your signature. Edit: and no I did not purposef...

Re: New! 2021 Forum upgrade
Old forums are now back (but locked and all content read-only) at https://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/ I wanted to do this so that old links still work and any content indexed by search engines and so on still gets people the information they are looking for instead of just an error message. The biggest t...

Think social media plays a big part in it too, plus this forum was fairly broken for quite a long time. Afraid I can't help you with your suspension queries!

That is the way I've always seen it done in the workshop books and the way I've done it myself Rob. Pour it in until it's coming out the filler point

Re: Black Rev2 Tintop Turbo
pistol_pete had a white rev1 off me a year or two ago and stripped it down much the same as you were doing. The towel was thrown in when the state of the rear suspension turrets was revealed, so I'd definitely check that area out (I'm sure you would anyway)!
