Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev 2 turbo wont start. Help

If it's been standing for a long time I assume you put some fresh fuel in the tank as any old stuff is likely to be pretty yukky. It Might be worth checking the ECU for leaking capacitors, common on a rev 2. I had a similar issue with my NA when it had been left standing for a long time and the batt...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Electric mirrors not working. What are these wires?

Well that's pretty good progress. Well worth checking the wiring again, the following wiring diagram should help identify the wires that relate to the drivers mirror folding function. Don't forget these colours relate to the stock door harness not the cables that connects to the harness in the door,...

Re: Interior trim anyone had this?

The only flocked dash I've actually seen was Ed's car (yokomomr4bx) who I think had it done locally (Cardiff). It looked pretty good, and said it really sorted out the reflection problems. He also had the front of the glove box flocked, which I think was a good idea. My only reservation is how well ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Electric mirrors not working. What are these wires?

As it happens I've just converted my car to folding mirrors, so whilst it's fresh in my mind, starting at the bottom of your photo: The flat twin red cable is not part of a standard loom and looks like a new speaker cable the previous owner has installed. Is it connected to the speaker? does the spe...

Re: Good codition ..Hate to see a bad one!!

Putting aside the crazy asking price, I've never understood folks who can't be bothered to give things a quick clean before before advertising them on ebay. I guess he's hoping nobody checks if anyone else is offering a dash. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dash-Dashboard-Interior-Black-Toyota-MR2-mk2-2-...

New Year Update

Whilst waiting for Winter to really kick in I've been trying to make the best the dry but chilly weather to get on top of my to do list, before it goes back to the body shop for snagging. First the engine bay, boot and interior were given a good clean to remove the grime left behind by the body shop...

Re: Interior trim anyone had this?

I think it's the same folks that I bought leather covers from for my sun visors. The leather and stitching was fine, but the fit wasn't too clever, but that may just be due to the way the stock visor deteriorates over time. The glare off the dashboard in the summer is a real pain, so it will be inte...

Re: Rev 1/2 C One Spoiler

Thanks for the info guys. I think it must have been the rev 3+ version that I saw and made me doubt this was a C one spoiler. But having seen photos of the rev 1/2 style, you've pretty much convinced me that I have a Rev1/2 C One spoiler. And if there are no known copies, it's likely to be an origin...

Re: Rev 1/2 C One Spoiler

To be honest I'm not really sure what it is. I in initially thought it might be a C-one, but when I googled that it came up with a very different design. Having said that it does look very similar to yours, so perhaps it's a Google fail, and it really is a C-one copy, I really don't know. The only t...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Help With passenger footwell connectors

OK. I've now removed the glove box to improve access when looking for a lonely connector. At first I thought I'd spotted an obvious candidate, a gray connector at the top of the picture. http://www.mr2.org.uk/images/mr2_passenger_footwell_wiring.jpg But when I looked closer the gray connector hangin...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Help With passenger footwell connectors

Thanks for the reply mate. I must admit that given the number of wires if it had become unplugged I felt there ought to be an awful lot of stuff not working. But I'm a bit confused about what you mean by the idle-up signal for tail lights rear fogger. I've just checked the tail lights, brake lights,...

I'll investigate that for you this evening and get back to you. But I suspect posting something this large is going to be pricey. Can I just confirm your address is mainland Britain, or can you PM your post code.

Thanks
