Re: Markstevieandmads Budget Turbo project : PART ONE

Option 3 pull your finger out your ar$e and finish it, I went through similar when my mam died and Ryan s did when his dad passed it's very easy to feel deflated and negative about everything and wonder what's the point but if you never had the thoughts of jacking the project before then why should ...

Re: hubs

Abs hubs will fit a non abs car you just don't connect the sensor, turbo and non turbo hubs have different drive shafts and aren't interchangeable

Re: welcome to my basket case.

Your far better off using the hoist to lower the engine and box onto a pallet and then use the hoist to lift the car up allowing you to slide the pallet out, a pallet on casters makes it a doddle. You can then also use stands/blocks under the sills to support the shell as it's raised to prevent it f...

Re: welcome to my basket case.

Good work, I think someone on twobrutal is after the cruise control stuff if you decide not to use it. Also the air-con compressor is worth keeping if your not using it

Re: welcome to my basket case.

Scion charger will fit and are available fairly easily from the states but you will need to make your own mounts for it. Ive one in my garage and a scrap engine for mock up purposes if I ever get the car finished and some more spare time.

The scion charger is covered in a post on twobrutal

Re: welcome to my basket case.

What info do you thinks missing? There's no step by step guide as the n/a engine is straightforward to remove and fitting the v6 is covered in alot of build threads.

Re: welcome to my basket case.

Yes you can use your n/a box with a 3vz, yes you can fit a manual flywheel to the 3vz but the pcd needs altering and for clutch setup your best using a mix of turbo flywheel and pressure plate with an n/a friction disc.

All the v6 information you could want is over at twobrutal.co.uk

Re: speedhut clocks

The usual speed hut dials are overlays you fit into your speedo unit and wire to the back, you should be able to easily remove them and wire them into your import speedo unit, or swap the actual gauge units if the dials have been glued down

Re: Suspension refesh?

Having tried several brands of polybushes over 3 Mr2's my preference is yellow powerflex engine mount bushes with superpro suspension bushes for a road car, but the superpro bushes do cost more than the prothane kits.

Unplug the alternator wiring plug and see if the drain goes, if it does then it's the alternator
