Re: welcome to my basket case.
if you look at them closely and they have a thin blue stripe on them then there the main cables that feed the rear fuse box and alternator in the engine bay

Re: Top mount alignment
Found the answer, the cutout goes towards the rear the car (12 o clock looking into the frunk), if your top mounts have an arrow this will be pointing to the headlight. Offset top mounts were rev1 only, if you fit non offset top mounts then I'd suspect you will lose some camber, in my case it's not ...

Re: Top mount alignment
Actually scrub that, with the cutout positioned outboard the top mount doesn't line up so the cutout has to be either at the front or rear of the strut tower, I've positioned it to the rear for now(12 o clock as you look into the frunk)

Re: Top mount alignment
That helps alot buddy, I've several seized top mounts in my scrap pile one has an arrow on the top, if the arrow is to go inboard then the cutout on my new ones will be outboard. Rev1's had the off center mounts but they can't be many left on the road as most places just sell the centre offset ones ...

Top mount alignment
Hopefully a quick one so I can get them fitted, I've just fitted new front top mounts but wondered if there supposed to be aligned in a certain orientation? http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f109/thomp1983/IMAG0504_zpsmnvv5eny.jpg As you can see at the bottom of that picture there is a cutout wherea...

Re: Emissions failing - The latest test readings - Nightmare car
Your problem lies in one of three areas you need to do some testing to identify which. It's either, the o2 sensor is faulty, remove it from the car put it in a vice, set up your multimeter on the signal ground and signal wires (or the one wire and sensor body if a single wire sensor) get a blow torc...

It's b+ and fp to make the pump run.
The afm will close when the engine cuts out as there's no vacuum to keep it open.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
If you turn the ignition on so the dash lights come on and use a screwdriver to open the afm flap does the fuel pump run?

Re: Radiator Fans running Continuously ! Relay Switch ?
I've a non ac rad switch you can have, I'd suspect your car has had aircon in the past and it's missing the bridge link in the frunk that non ac cars have that prevent the fans running.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Re: Did my alternator just die on me?
You can buy new regulators on eBay for about
£20 there quite easy to fit once the alt is off.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
If your concerned about the earth attach a jump lead from where the alt bolts to chassis to a known good earth point

camber bolt questions
couple of stupid questions regarding camber bolts,
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
first, do i need to replace both bolts in each suspension strut or is the top one sufficient
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
second are the front and rear bolts the same, i can find plenty of camber bolt kits advertised for the fronts but not for the rears
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
cheers
