Re: Supercharger battery
Back when I had my SC, when I was rebuilding it, I got a battery cover from a VW Golf (plastic jobbie that was moulded, think it was a Mk3) and cut that up so it covered the battery to isolate it a bit. Something like that should avoid having to relocate it, etc.

Re: Looking for old members
Was trying to think back -last drive I did was when Shane's brother had that terrible accident on Skye where the car flipped. IIRC I left you guys at the first stop-off on Sky after the bridge and turned back, had other commitments on that weekend. Hiya! That was the one where I got to enjoy that p...

Love that link - saw it on mr2.com. Skaughtto's photos put mine to shame (and I used to be quite happy with mine!!) His techniques (read them up on the mr2.com forum) are quite interesting!

Yep, it does sound like a grounding issue. Definitely worth checking that first. You could ground it locally to a part of the body to check it.

Well, I have my official IMOC T-shirt here I think, with my username!
I'll try... the break would be good and it's just up the road - sort of.

Re: Lauren's AE86. Pics on page 13.
In previous years, the Northern Ireland lot came across for JAE and there were a few '86s amongst them! But IMOC may be a better stand for you to be on... ;) I deffo won't be at JAE this year. :( Was hoping to pop up for a day (perhaps I still will, still don't know to be honest) at the least, but m...

Re: AE86 Spoiler on a AW11.
Too tired to go into any details of some of the aerodynamic stuff discussed here and how it does/doesn't work...
However, Giovanni, the E28 3 series beemer had a similar style rear spoiler available for it, which would probably fit the Mk1 better than the AE86 one - if you can find one.

Re: Mk 1 bits for sale (picture heavy)
Hiya Clarky,
How much work is it to fit the fixings to the drivers seat? I don't have access to welding equipment - will that be a problem? Also whereabouts in Northants are you?
Edit: Just found Jimi's guide - looks like welding isn't necessary...

Very good point Jon - I completely missed that!
Yes, a pump should do the job just fine (though having done it with a compressor, that definitely gives impressive results!! ).

Re: Refurbing my Twin Pots
How desperate are you to get it sorted? I may be able to loan you my brake caliper winding tool but won't be able to get it to you till at least this weekend... Did you paint over the slider pin sticking out of the carrier, or did you mask it? Would be better if it's still metal rather than paint fo...

Re: carrying a bmx on my mr2
within this thread 2 people have quoted 3 bikes and an MR2. I'm wondering who rides the 3rd bike? My MR2 was rather handy when I was moving 50 miles away. (Yes the MR2 was & is my only car) Yes, I had three bikes, though one was rubbish so just gave it away. :) And yep, cycling elsewhere ...

It's more the fact that I don't want a 7-odd ( ? ) Kg rotating mass moving at 7,000 rpm, spinning not far behind me, made by a company I don't trust! So I'm absolutely with you guys on the eBay options (plus I already have an Exedy clutch kit, so getting another would be silly).
