When I bought the car it had a MOMO steering wheel and gearstick. It still has a rather large bright blue bannana shaped handbrake though! lol.
Is there a how to on how to replace this?
Any aftermarket ones that you have links to?
Would a MOMO one fit?
FInally ... thanks

Well its been a few days without money spent on it, so heres an update for you all to enjoy... Firstly I was looking at my interior and realised that the handle shrouds were demolised. Especially on the driver side. They appeared to ahve been stuck back together so I set about rectifying that. I bou...

Re: Need some advice regarding car with no VIN plate
From previous experience if its going to bother you now it'll still bother you in 2, 5 or 10 years down the line... So personally I would say get rid now as it's always going to niggle on you mind. My logic is this: The buying market has droped out of 2s at the moment which means that the parts mark...

[Mk2] [NA] Easy cheap parts to replace on MK2 Rev 1??
Hello I have a MK2 Rev 1 NA, and wanted to do a few cheap and easy mechanic replacements before parts start to go wrong or die. What parts are simple enough and cheap enough to replace that really should be done? Thinking of things that may be prone to failure bearing in mind my car is nearly 21 yea...

Hey mate I have a rev1 NA with an original engine which has never been removed.
I'm only in Bristol and I've got Fri, Sat, Sun and Mon off of work
I could always pop round so you could see where it all goes if you want?

Forgot to say the car originally came with some horrendous green LED windscreen washers. As seen in the later photos these have been ripped out and replaced with very small understated black washer jets. A hell of an inmprovement! I currently have a new thing of Brazilian Carnauba wax on order. Also...

MK2 Rev1 aero upgrade
I have a Mk2 rev 1 and my wipers are dying so I want to take the opportunity to upgrade them to aero flat wipers but can't find any decent ones for the life of me
Has anyone got an eBay link to a set that will fit?

[Mk2] [NA] Any mechanics in Bristol
Thinking about getting the cam belt replaced as I don't fancy doing it myself and don't want to take it to some random garage who hasn't touched a 2 before.
So anyone a mechanic in Bristol?
May consider a full engine overhaul if the price is right...

Thanks mate :) - theres still an awful lot do do in order to get it perfect I had been toying with the idea of ripping the engine out and replacing it with a turbo. However I've decided not to, for the pure and simple reason that given a couple of years (10 or so, lol) this will probably be one of t...

Re: **UPDATED** 1991 Rev 1 (Beastly V6 1MZ-FE VVTI) **UPDATED**
MR2s seem to be really difficult to find in any decent condition around here and really go for a premium. Around here they seem to go on average for about £1500 even for a rev1 believe it or not (trust me, I spent a long time looking locally for one) I actually wanted a rev1 as there are fewer and f...

I thought it was about time that I started up a little profile showing how my cars progressing as I'm sure there will be lots more to come. Well lets start at the beginning I guess. I've always wanted a MR2 MK2 as I think they look lovely, but it was never the right time. I decided to focus on buyin...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Gearbox problem on Rev1... I've not got a clue please help!!
I worked out the problem and fixed it :) In this diagram: http://www.mr2.com/forums/mk-1-mr2-aw11/Toyota-MR2-62918-shift-linkage-square-death.html The square shift linkage/bush had ceased up and bonded itself to the pin that held it. So stripped some of the engine bay out to get to it, then lots and...

Black G reg MK2 - Bristol Longwell Green
I saw you but did you see me! lol
Must have been about 17:00ish on the 05/10 I saw a black (possibly G reg) MR2, looked like a turbo and was very tidy. Believe it had a square rear plate with a symbol on the left hand side.
I follwed you into Asda Longwell Green, but I was about 5 cars behind

[Mk2] [Generic] Gearbox problem on Rev1... I've not got a clue please help!!
Hello, I bought my manual 2.0 NA Rev 1 about a month ago, and its lovely to run, the only thing that lets it down is something to do with the gearbox or linkages... The car runs fine in gear. I've replaced the bushes with polybushes and also replaced the origial gearbox oil with new redline gearbox ...
