Hi Mark, If you already have a good EBC, then use that to control boost. Use the unichip to control fuelling and ignition, and dont use the boost control module. I was in exactly the same situation as you, and learn't so much from Dino about Unichips I hope he won't mind me quoting him below. I boug...
The Unichip and boost module DOES control boost on rev3's if it's been installed properly. The unit called the 'boost module' is a module that provides 2 functions, it firstly functions as a map sensor allowing the mapper to map past ranges not covered by the rev1/2 map sensor. the second function i...
I'm in Norwich and can recommend Clive Atthowe on Salhouse road. I fitted my own unichip and took it up to him with a bypass plug fitted to the loom and just asked him to map it, He'll check your wiring and remap it for you. I'd unplug it for the moment and jumper the lines that have been broken. I ...
Great pics guys, Great Meet Guys! Good to see you all again after the Winter. Sorry we couldn't stay long, we'd called in on route between the Boat jumble at the Showground and shopping in the City, but would have loved to have come on the drive. Got a bit of an announcement as well, sorry Kim was a...
Hi, To remove just a unichip on a rev3 (ie not with boost module) unplug it and bridge pins 7 and 15 on the plug, this should be the white and black wires, this is the PIM line to the ecu, (Map sensor). then bridge pins 5 and 13, these should be the blue and purple wires, this is the IGT (ignitor) l...
That's great to know, I thought it was the only thing differing me from a true turbo, ( I even have a stock boost gauge) are they the same part no? and not stiffer etc as Bens mr2 turbo faq suggests?
cheers
Andy
AFAIK the brakes are the same, but not the suspension, The UK car probaly won't have Bilstein Suspension that is stock on Turbo's.
I run a Turbo transplanted car with no issues.
Andy
yeah I missed a lot of good runs, esp if people were close to me in the queue, I didn't get any of Rory or much of freefall, because they were infront/behind of me.
DVD on way to you Bry,
Andy

Do you know if there's anywhere I can leave a wheel safely, Rory?. I've got one in the front, just don't want to drive with the one on the passenger seat ?
I want to spin
I've just managed to fit a spare set of rear wheels in the car, I know I should have tried it earlier to work out how to do it. There used to be a article on fitting 4 stock wheels in the car somewhere
See you all tomorrow peeps, looking forward to it.
