Re: Track car with a low budget | Powered by Adaptronic

Good stuff. I hope it stays good for you, never had an issue with that engine. My 2GR-FE swap is very nearly complete as well, engine is in and running, just prepping it to pass the mandatory MOT we have in the UK, then mine is track ready as well!

Re: Track car with a low budget | Powered by Adaptronic

Great read!

I've just realised you're the guy that came to pick up my old 3S-GTE engine back in 2013. Is this the engine you're now using, or did you use it for parts or something?

Cheers

Would that be the same size as the throttle body opening? If so, I can measure mine today.

Mine were in good nick, only one wheel had rim scuffing, three of the wheels had the centre caps, and the tyres were probably not even half worn.

I sold mine on Ebay for £400 a month ago. Just an FYI.

Make sure your wipers work :)

I don't mind wet trackdays, they wear your tyres less!

There was something magical about the 16 bit consoles... maybe it's just because I'm getting old!

A great looking shell. I'll be following this with interest, I've always fancied building a kit car.

16" Enkei RP-01's with Toyo T1R's

I've had these sat around for a while now, and won't be using them again as I've got some Buddyclub P1's instead. So, these are surplus to requirements and I need the space. 4 x Enkei RP-01's (they are not staggered, they are all 16x7J. Two of the wheels come fitted with 205/45-16 and the other two ...

I'm amazed this hasn't sold, £7500 is a bargain. If I hadn't invested so much money into my 2GRFE swap, I'd be all over this.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] How big with no arch mods?

I've got 275's on the back of mine. I've also got wide arches to fit to accommodate them. Can't comment on rubbing as I haven't used them yet, car is still undergoing engine swap.

Still hacked off at how shoddy the info is, thank god for the Internet and being able to quiz other users that said I w...

Gotta agree with that. Stock brakes with Carbotec's are a particularly awesome combination.

The brackets that are welded onto the strut collars. They are different. The swapped over the entire bracket for me once I gave them the correct dimensions.

Re: HSD Coilovers not fitting?

There's no need, you can get some proper brackets like I did. Get in touch with them. I wouldn't be drilling anything out.
