Many thanks for the feedback, I made these a little darker as the units had been over sprayed round the edges with smoke tint and reckon they'll blend nicely on a black car Look forward to seeing them fitted.
Brand new, one pair only, these are the result of extensive tests to get the correct tint level for other projects..... http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f11/wolfie308/DSCF2825_zps681363c4.jpg For the complete amber delete, you'll need to fit USDM red triangles which then looks like this.... http://...
Okay.....got them finished this afternoon. I was running out of tint spray after doing the lower borders, so I left the reverse lenses for now. For those with Rev 1/2's, I think these offer a far more exclusive(and cheaper) update than fitting standard Rev 3+ units.....IMHO :D http://i44.photobucket...
Bought these some years back with the intention of doing them in all clear before I realised they were available. £11.25 inc 1st class post. Payment by PayPal as gift.
Thanks for the positive feedback chaps - I have feeling smoked could become the new clears
No problem doing the Rev3+ and the triangles in smoked as well.
Wasn't sure whether or not to post this as they're unfinished, but I was quite chuffed, so couldn't resist. The lenses haven't been re fitted, and I need to apply the spray tint to the lower band and then polish the main red sections so they come up a shiny as the indicators and we'll be good to go....
Could somebody kindly tell me the size of the bulb in the door courtesy lights?
I believe they're festoon type and I'll looking for blue and green LED versions for a new project
Nice job on the fitting of the clear rears and the USDM red triangles. I'm still surprised this option hasn't been as popular as the Rev3 clear rears with red or clear triangles. I thought they offered a cost effective and much more exclusive option to buying a new or even 2nd hand pair of Rev 3 uni...
Hey Rich, Thanks for that - didn't realise they were quite so large  ... much bigger than most other models I've looked at. Due to the fact that they're handed as well, I don't reckon I could make them for less than £50/pair due to the small number of people interested. I think my time, effor...
Very interesting to see the pics, but it makes me think 'how many people would pay the extra it would cost to have exact OE copies as opposed to making the very cheap ceiling light difusser option'? Although close up there'd be no comparison in quality, I'll await further feedback to assess viability.
Many thanks for the part no's - damn shame the pics are missing. One thing just occured to me....not sure how large they are? The ones I made for the Celica were quite small - about 50mm x 30mm x 5mm. Will check GBP price in the morning and report back. They don'y appear to be available in the U.S e...
Somebody mention my name :D I don't believe these have been done before for the MR2 but would be nice to confirm before I proceed. I have done them some years back for the Gen6 Celica Could someone kindly let me have the part no's for these as you know what a PITA it can be trying to order parts and...
Further to a number of requests for info on how to go about fitting these, I hope this link will answer most questions.... http://www.mr2oc.co.uk/forums/topic.html?f=58&t=77279&p=768984 The only things I would add are 1) - Keep the edge where the glue goes free of the silver spray and 2) - U...
Hey Alex, Thanks for the bump. but more importantly for the pic 8) which I think shows they do work very nicely on black. They're better suited to the earlier models on dark colours IMHO. I'd like to see how they work on red too. Red triangles are dealer items, they were about £18 ea IIRC. Anybody g...
Price is based on the fact they are ultra low volume items, each hand made, then masked and tinted - sorry no price reduction possible. I specifically designed them for people who prefer the Rev 1/2 units, so they're not intended to be compared with replacing with Rev 3 units - just rather more excl...
welcome back just in time in need of a set :) you doing the flat tobes by any chance? You give them clear, you give them smoked, and beggar me - they want flat!....in clear or smoked?  Actually, flats haven't escaped my attention, however there seems to be one little problem - the flat l...
Mornin' All, I know a lot of people have changed their Rev 1/2 rear clusters for the Rev 3 type as an update to the look - but hang on......how much more modern a look is it really?.......after all, the standard units still have a large amount of ginger with both the indicator section and the triang...
They look really good! Certainly a viable alternative to blanking strips and side repeaters (for ease of fitment, I mean). :thumleft: Cheers for that Slarty, although I came up with these about 4 years ago, I haven't promoted them as much as I should have. That was exactly my thinking when I first ...
