The 6mm bolts that are used to hold the front end on are not metric fine they are normal 6mm, I used stainless when I did mine they cost £3 for 30 from my local engineering supplies shop

As you have new droplinks and are throwing the old ones away I would just grind them off. I did mine recently and managed to get the bottom nuts undone but the top ones were solid, 2 minutes with the grinder and it was off

you could actually remove the ARB for an MOT if you wanted. Technically you can't. A missing ARB on an axle that should have one is a valid reason for failure.
