Re: best brake pads?

Not currently, whilst very popular in the USA they don't seem to have caught on much over here. 90% of my pads are for stock production calipers. I do a small range for race calipers, but to be honest, those using expensive lightweight dedicated race calipers want and need specialist race compound p...

Re: best brake pads?

Thanks for the kind words about the pads, I have been trying to get a trader account for months on here and have all but given up. Was promised a slot and I was happy to pay, but things just fizzled out. I do my pads for a wide range of cars including the current shape Nissan GTR which I have just t...

I am at SY13 2BT and have a workshop at my home, just south of Whitchurch. I am one hour from St...

Yes, that black T top did go well, on stock brakes too, from what I remember. I was giving my old Skyline GTS-t an airing in Wales.

Re: [All] [Generic] Who is running a turbo 4-AGE engine??

I have resumed work on this. I was looking at the cams the other month and thought they seemed to have a hell of a lot of duration, so took them out and had them checked. Kent had sent me the wrong profiles.... I was a bit miffed to say the least, as it was all shimmed up and ready to time. Anyway, ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Are Gen 1 and Gen 2 3S-GTE head, inlet and turbo manifold gaskets the same?

As title, I need a stock head, intake manifold and turbo manifold gasket for an engine here, but I can't recall if it's from a Gen 1 or 2 car. If they are the same I need one of each please, cheap as chips :) Can even arrange collection by courier after payment. All the best. Anyone???

Re: [All] [Generic] Who is running a turbo 4-AGE engine??

Hi, been a bit sidetracked with work and another couple of engines I am messing with. I managed to finish the head the other day and shim it all up so once I have made an oil restrictor for the block to head oil feed it can go back on the block. I have worked out that a 50 thou inch Cometic head gas...

Re: [All] [Generic] Who is running a turbo 4-AGE engine??

After finishing a couple of other projects before the bad weather I should be back on track with this build. Just got off the phone to Quicksilver Race Engines in the USA having ordered the valve spring seat shims, valve stem seals and some other stuff, plus a spare cylinder head in case this all go...

Re: Exclusive MR2 Track Day Weekender - 17/18 Oct

They have picked up a lot of rubber marbles on the way back in. They also don't look like they have been getting up to operating temperature, but it was a cold day and the surface had very low grip as it was very dirty and dusty.

Re: Exclusive MR2 Track Day Weekender - 17/18 Oct

Chris, are you still making brake pads? I remember hearing really good things about them a numbe rof years ago - when you had a white Skyline on the old circuit. I am doing them for a big range now, in both race and fast road compounds, not just Supras and Skylines. If you want MR2 pads just e-mail...

Re: Exclusive MR2 Track Day Weekender - 17/18 Oct

do your brakes have to work harder going to tyres like the r888's or is it the other way round? i'm struggling to understand why i wasnt getting any brake fade on standard discs/pads when people can still get it on aftermarket set ups is it simply that i wasnt working them hard enough as it certain...

Re: [All] [Generic] Who is running a turbo 4-AGE engine??

That would be the black one with the Opel 2 litre engine in it. We are off to Rockingham with it tomorrow, which is a circuit I have never even spectated at, let alone driven, but at least it's just a track day. My worst moment was qualifying a modern F3 car at Combe, never having even spectated the...

Any more news on this build Chris or do more people keep dropping more work on you ;) Cheers Steve Not really, sadly. very busy making a living, and trying to fund a rebuild on my Mugen V8 F3000 engine that is proving a nightmare to get off the shelf spares for. It was going to be a simple refresh ...
