Toyota only Track day Donington 16 November 22
Just got back from another weekends sprinting and talking to my good friends at Javelin and Adrian at Fensport have come up with an idea to have a Toyota only track day at Donington Park for Wednesday 16th November. Bargain price at £116. The idea is we're going to promote it through the Zoo and get...

Re: Blackpool Illuminations Meet?
Sorry for a late reply. I would struggle to make that on a weeknight. It's a long way from South Manchester after work.
Weekends would be better if possible.

Re: North West Meets
Would be nice to catch up with some old faces even though my car is long gone. Though I've got a new one of course. Why not put something up and see what interest there is?

Re: Recommend engine oil?
I always used 10w-40 Magnatec. It's an old engine which would have been designed to use 20w-50.
5w-30 is a bit thin so you'll probably burn through it.
I used Fuchs 15w-50 in the 4AGE when I had my AE86.

Re: Wheels and Tyres
I agree the works Cr01 is the best and if I had the budget I would go that way but DW cost of £1288 plus £ 50 per wheel to have the spokes black and new tyres we are into £1900-2000. A grand is my budget and the Rotas look the best alternative. Thanks for the comments on tyres I will try and get th...

Re: Wheels and Tyres
Personally I'd avoid Toyo T1Rs (if that's what you're thinking) - they're pretty dated now and there are far better tyres available. I would concur with Ben on the T1R's. They are absolute rubbish and as he said there are far better tyres available. It's been a while since I had to find tyres in th...

Re: JAE 2018 Thanks
Hi It was disccused in various quarters that for next year as the GT86 may not be joining us? even if they do, that we have a stand with other clubs MR2OCUK, The MR2DC (hopefully more will attend) maybe see if ROC could be persuaded to join us? We can't really say what's going to happen next, but f...

Re: fire pit for JAE
Brian, the reasoning is that a lot of sites have banned coal BBQ's due to increased fire risk as the result of the very dry conditions we've had up until a few weeks ago over the summer. I must admit, I never use the club BBQ, preferring to buy my food from the stalls. Gas BBQ's are allowed, but it'...

If your friend doesn't have an agreed value then they are going to be at the mercy of what the insurance company offer. Likely around £1.5-2K.

Re: Valve Clearances
Speaking of which, I think you still have my spares. Any chance you can bring them to Blyton this weekend? Mark said he kind of remembers having something. But he thinks they went to someone else. Mark will have a look as really they are no use to us if we do actually have them. So yes, if we have ...

Re: Valve Clearances
Do them to the correct tolerance. Yes you can swop the shims around. A bit easier to have a spare set marked up though.
