Re: ST 185 Brake conversion

I've got the upgrade to ST185s on my 1.5 - and I have to say, they are an absolute superb modification. When I get another standard Mk1, it will certainly be the first upgrade I do - along with the rear brakes. There's nothing like having that extra stopping power. Just my 1p (wasn't enough for the ...

Re: DAM U boy racers!

With You Mate doing a Burnout in the middle of the road, they would throw the book at him, If you cant see brake lights your not at fault, if they were obscured through smoke its not your fault. I'm not arguing about it, your mate obviously has issues that only he can resolve by picking on people t...

Yeah, this mod should only ever be done if you're on a rolling road / or have a reliable method of testing your new air/fuel mixture...

Red MK1 Woodlands, Bedford

I look out my office window and I regularly see a tasty little red Mk1 parked either in the front, or main car park at Woodlands, Manton Lane...

I've only noticed it recently, so not sure whether you've had it long...?

Show yourself :)

Rev 2 - 220bhp
Rev 3 - 241bhp

K reg's are all rev2

1993 did produce rev3s but only for 2 months - so it's quite a small gap.

Even an L reg can still be a rev2 (3 month gap)

Re: Porsche Boxster drivers - bigger knobs than Beemer drivers?

And pretty redundant... If someone says they beat something half decent, everyone pipes in and says how "he wasn't giving it any", or "he was playing around"... yes, well we're not at the strip so maybe he was just a crap driver, or wasn't trying - does everything need to be just...

Phew... just read through all that drivel!!! People need to chill out a bit; it's an enthusiasts website for sports car owners, and there's a thread called driving experiences?? It's like you're just setting the bait and waiting for a catch. There was nothing illegal done, and recklessness is an obj...

Re: Trackday Attitude & Tomfoolery

If you enter into an 'argument' that you have no chance of losing, then by definition another person has another point of view, the only outcome you are planning is to 'teach'. The unwanted aspect of 'teaching' is dictatorship. I prefer to enter into discussions, therefore I retain the option of le...

Re: let go when side ways!!

Also, would someone care to explain why it's "bad technique"? Cos you don't know what way the wheels are facing. That's not an explanation of why it's a bad technique... that's merely a symptom of slipping the wheel?? I don't rely on where my hands are to know which way the wheels are fac...
