Re: Mk3 Roadster 3.0L V6 (1MZ-FE) (SOLD)
The satisfying thing here is that I KNOW that next year, someone on here looking at this ad is going to buy a Mk3...... :D They're then gonna think that they want more power, and go "I know: I'll get a V6 conversion! :thumleft: " So, after contacting Woodsport and Rogue, and getting the £4...

Right!
Car is going on Ebay on Tuesday night for 5 days..
If it doesn't sell, I'll keep the car...no relisting / dropped price, etc.....
Selling with the spoiler/ modded engine cover and the OEM engine cover, but without the hartop / fitting kit...

Re: mk3 mods - Adrian Flux insurance
I'm covered for all my Mk3, all mods declared, with AF (Big rear wing, V6 engine, custom exhaust, etc). Its on an agreed value basis, and I had to list all the mods on the form. As the car is up for sale, I recently asked them what happens if I wanted to sell the car now and get a new policy, possib...

Re: heat..... Its worth considering that aluminium is very good at getting rid of heat, compared to steel.... If you put the same amount of heat into a steel and an alu flywheel, the steel one will take longer to both heat up and to cool down after the heat is removed. This means that the steel one ...

Re: Lightweight Wheels
Dont get too carried away with wheel weights, though... Most of the unsprung weight of the full wheel comes from the tyre! If you spend say another £300 to save 2kg per corner, all that could be negated by your tyre choice...! :? Is there a TYRE weight database, too....? :D Just for reference, MR2 R...

Re: throttle stiffness
This wasn't oil......It was sticky: tacky to the touch....
Oil, you can wipe with your finger, and it comes off, leaving the metal underneath...this was actually a sticky goo!
Only thing upstream that would cause this was the filter.....and it hasn't re-occurred, either....

Re: throttle stiffness
If not a damaged cable, check the butterfly valve itself is not sticking to the housing. This is usually caused by the fitment of most cheap oil-coated filters, ESPECIALLY if it is too small for the job.....Proper K+N, Pipercross filters made for the application are usually ok.... The flow of air pu...
