I realise that is an option bt i have already had the 1b inlet manifold detailed so not using it is not an option i'm afraid.

well i have owned both 1a's and 1b's and my 1a drove beautifully but then again so did my 1b, i think the factor that will decide is the amount of work/fiddling to fit the 1a loom to the 1b engine, the injectors and ECU are all v easy to change i suppose

mmmmmmmm, food for thought indeed, i have just been out and looked at the looms and they are quite different, the 1b one seems to have more sensor plugs? I think theoption i am leaning towards is using the 1a inectors with everything else been 1b, if not i will just keep everything 1b...it just seem...

if i were to opt for the 1a ECU and Loom with the sensors swa then i would have to swap the inlet manifold would i not?, this is not an option has i have just powder coated the 1b inlet manifold...

First thing i thought of mate, have not flown the 1.5 coup yet, i have a little project on the go that involves the old engine etc from my last 1.5....all will be reveiled eventually but until then :-#

Sorry Jim, i just re read my reply and i sound like a right ar$e!, i'm just having one of those days i guess :? Good news is though that i had a route around in the very bottom of my garage and found the old suspension bolts from when i replaced all that, engine is now on the stand and being detaile...

Jim i am well aware of the shops available to me in my town thanks, and believe it or not i did leave my own house, if that comment was meant to be funny then it wasn't and i can assure you that i am probably out of my house more than you will be in a week!

its the thread pitch that makes it difficult, the toyota one is alot finer than the bandq ones.

Indeed one bolt does fit but my suspension is still on the car, guess i will have to go buy some that have the correct pitch etc and are long enough!
