Re: My new project (he's been hit FFS)

Cheers Max, choosing the colour scheme was partly down to Tiamat. but I think it suits the mk2 well. I'm not a sprayer, I strip and fit vehicles for insurance repairs. I do get to see a lot of what goes on though and the guys at work were happy to let me watch them. I have only sprayed wit...

Re: My new project (he's been hit FFS)

Well I thought this needed an update. I've been busy. As above, the car came in so many different shades of SMG that a trip to a paint supplier told me it would be better to spray the whole car as the only original paint was the roof and that was in bad condition anyway. I chose the For...

Re: Replacing orange front indicator/side light unit.

There are loads about on ebay but most don't seem to have a sidelight? Where do MR2's with these fitted have their side lights then? I'm after crystal clear units with the sidelights included. Any help tracking the right set out much appreciated. Is your Mr2 an import ? I know I had to specifically...

Loving it. 8) I love my fresh paint but now every speck of dirt, every bug squished on the bumper, every tar spot has to be removed straight away. I have even taken to carrying tar spot remover around with my in the boot along with alsorts of quick detailer and cloths.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] time for change (long time overdue) finished for now

Recommend the Devilbiss brand, the guys i work with use GTI Pros. I use a Devilbiss Finishline. :thumleft: I got given a 20 year old Devilbiss gun by a guy i work with, was his first pro gun and it's still fantastic now. 8) Glad to hear you got a water trap/filter too, my compressor was spitting out...

Really liking where this one is heading NFMB, well done for giving it all a go.

Spraying with a compressor and gun is nerve racking, I was brickin' it before respraying my car but it turned out well in the end (after compounding 8-[ ).

Keep the pics coming. 8)

Agreed. The hole configuration and the spoiler mark give the game away. I like this game----do another, or should we make this the longest thread ever and have the rule that the person with the first right answer has to post the next picture. Re: mr2 super edition

Interesting topic, my recent ebay gamble is a grey rev2 with silver bumpers and mirrors. (tho' I grant that could be crappy colour matching lol) It seems fully loaded too...electric retracting mirrors, cruise control, climate control, steering fogs, t-bar. Only thing it is missing is leather....

Re: Removing side strips

Anyone got experience in removing the side strips, I know some of them are stickers so can be done easily with a hair dryer / hot air gun and a bit of elbow grease. But how are the plastic side strips held on. I need to start prepping the car for its welding and spray work. The more I do, the more ...
