Re: What's it worth. mk1.5 MR2

I'm also potentially interested in this, depending on the outcome of whether my FD is dead or not. If you decide to sell, drop me an email to [email protected], I have cash waiting (just need to decide between a MK1.5 or a V8 MX5...) :)

Re: Paul Sims?

Just to update this, Paul has since been in touch and there was a legitimate reason for the absence of contact. This now looks like it will be sorted.

Re: Paul Sims?

Just to clarify, I did put up wanted ads (both here and the MR2OC). Paul was recommended to me by another member, and as I spend large amounts of time away from home, Pauls number was handy at the time. He came up with the goods and in a timely manner, it's just unfortunate that he's sent me out an ...

Re: Paul Sims?

I've tried ringing/texting but had nothing back.

Out of interest, did your problem with the bumper ever get resolved? I'd certainly be looking for my money back; the calipers I received were in far-worse state than the ones I took off.

Paul Sims?

Anyone heard from him lately? I bought a set of calipers off him that turned out to be seized solid and can't seem to get in touch with him. I'm not trying to start a witch-hunt, I'm sure there's good reason, but could do with getting this sorted before I deploy overseas.

Cheers,

Re: Slow Progress MK1

Holy crap! An actual reply and I missed it!! I do have some plans, but I'm currently weighing up whether I want to spend the money on this car, or on buying an FD RX7...the plans are to sort out the bits of bodywork that I'm not happy with (which is a quick job to be honest), have the pain...

Retro Toyota @ Ace pics

I thought it'd be best to stick these in a seperate thread as there's so many of them. Thanks to whoever organised it, it was worth the drive down from Leeds even if there weren't many MK1s there! Just wish I could have stayed longer. http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/1417/panoramic.jpg http://img8...

Re: Retro Toyota Gathering - Ace Cafe London - 23 April

I'm going to try and make this too. I'll be in the white MK1B with the blowing exhaust and awful wheels!

Re: Urgent brake bleeding help needed!

Sorry for the late reply, I had to work the weekend so haven't had t'internet access. As an update, I need some ID help please! After a bit of fault-finding, I've pinned the problem down to a part in the front boot which comes off the Master-Cylinder. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what it's called to ...

Re: Urgent brake bleeding help needed!

Paul - We've tried bleeding these as per normal and still no fluid comes out.

There's no visible kink that I could see with the rear end jacked up. I'll try to get it to the motor club at work and have a proper look at it.

Re: Urgent brake bleeding help needed!

I figured the calipers may have seized as the hydraulic fluid isn't reaching them. It makes sense to me that the pistons seized through not moving over an extended period of time. There's definitely a blockage somewhere as no hydraulic fluid is leaking out when the hose is disconnected from the cali...

Re: Urgent brake bleeding help needed!

Having looked a little deeper, I suspect our initial thoughts were true. It looks as though both calipers have been seized for some time, and the fronts bleed perfectly. Having had a look at a brake-line diagram for the MK1, we think it's the splitter causing the problem. Anyone had experience of th...

Urgent brake bleeding help needed!

After noticing my rear brake pads needed replacing, I took the wheel off and noticed that my rear drivers-side caliper had clearly seized. At the time, I didn't think to check the other caliper was working, although the state of the pads seem to suggest they were to some extent as the pad wear was r...

Preferably 15s, but I'm not particularly fussy. How much would you be looking for?

Re: Adustability on OEM suspension?

Thanks guys. The alignment settings are just a ballpark figure to put me on until I can get to Germany again, but I figured the settings wouldnt be too dissimalar to my old MX5!

Adustability on OEM suspension?

Hi all, just wondering how the OEM kit is for adjustability in terms of adjusting camber/castor/toe? My wheels are in desperate need of an alignment, but I'm somewhat unfamiliar with the MR2 after coming from an MX5 where I could simply drop it off and have the work done! Also out of interest, what ...
