Re: mk3 turbo

The Hass keeps on the power to in one case just shy of 300bhp but everyone is watching that one to see...

Re: Heated leather seat wiring + switches
if i remember those switches correctly they just a variable resistor so you just wire up the pads with all heating pads to the live from the switch and it will put down more power the warmer you want it

Re: I am betraying my mark 1 and am moving over to the darkside! woooo
Maybe i was to harsh on the old Mk3... IMO its a bit limp wristed... Its very of our times... Cars are becoming less and less fun hence the fact they dont even make an MR2 any more.. But while it might not be my favorite MR2 its is a VERY good car.. The handling is EPIC.. If i was going to buy anot...

Re: Tyre profile difference ?
basically the rear wheels will be doing 1.1 turns to the fronts one turn. this at speed can unballance a car. its one of those things like stagger. sometimes you can ignore it and might be ok sometimes you might find yourself in a hedge backwards. for me i like to play it safe so i always keep the s...

Re: Tyre profile difference ?
yep that or you can increase the rear tyre profile, but might look a little less 4x4 with reducing the front. 5% should be enough.

Re: Ugghhh - Using oil
i would look at the new short block as pistons were revised in 2003 but the block was also revised in 2005 so making the 2005 engine the best. so getting a new short block will give you the best engine. the other thing you can do is give mattperformance on mr2roc a pm as he does engine rebuilds.

Re: fog lights on an import
Ok then all I can say is you will have to trace the wires from the switch to find out where its going. Can't really help much more than that im afraid without the car being in front of me, unless you fancy a drive down to me I don't mind helping

Re: swapping a 1zz with a 2zz block...possible ??
The 2zz head and block are different overall dimensions to the 1zz, eg 2zz block has an additional oil channel to work the VVTI not present on the 1zz. For the 2ZZ HG in your 1ZZ - interesting - did you check a 1zz HG against a 2ZZ HG to see what lined up? i didnt personally build it. but the guy t...

Re: swapping a 1zz with a 2zz block...possible ??
No - the oil passages will not line up. The engines are different designs, with other differences including different bore and stroke ratios, and the 2zz having a lightened bottom end to help with the higher redline. if the oil passages dont line up then why does my bored 1zz (so same diameter as a...
