Yeah I'm not sure if it's the spoiler, the diffuser, bumper or rificulously fat rear tyres but it works looks proper mean streat machine.

Nice story good shame about the first bit everything happens for a reason they say! First things I would check are tyre pressures, quality of tyres, balance of wheels.
You will get a lot of good advice on this forum don't be afraid to ask questions!

I'm sure one is a turbo conversion with a removable hardtop.

Have a good look at the rad as I believe aftermarket ones had the bleed valve located on the back? Anyhoooo the last two times I have refilled my coolant system I have jacked the rear of the car up quite high and slowly filled at the filler cap in engine bay. I have not needed to bleed the rad doing...

Yep no probs always good to have facts, no idea where 2.7kg came from! Yeah I reckon na lid getting on for 7kg with sensor, bolts and latch so not much in it at all. If you were building light weight track mr2 I think the na could be better as it has a second skin that could be chopped away may come...
