We've also done a chargecooled version of this setup.

Sorry, no. RMG have also shut up shop and the only bodywork we currently offer is our Type V race bodywork for mk3s.

I saw you at Donington, looked like you were having fun.
We were shaking down one of our new MR2 Championship cars ahead of the season opener in a couple of weeks.

Re: Idea - A whats it worth section?
How about a section where someone can post up an item and ask - "What's this worth?". Give people a time limit of maybe five days to reply. The OP starts by giving a price that they think is the minimum value they would accept for the item. Then people who think they would like the item ca...

Re: RedMoon Racing [MSV Team/Trackday Trophy]
My turbo mk2 race car runs ~293bhp at the hubs and has an ST205 chargecooler. No issues with heat soak regardless of duration (our races are normally 15 minutes but we've run for at least 45 minutes at a time in the Birkett relay race) but we've had to be very careful with chargecooler pre-rad choic...

Also, buy a new regulator from Toyota. They're only about £50, and I guarantee the one from the other door will have obvious signs of fatigue.

Re: RedMoon Racing [MSV Team/Trackday Trophy]
Looks good - nice to see another MR2 being raced! Have you given any thought to the 750MC's new Roadsports series? It's a similar format to team trophy and there's a very strong MR2 contingent in it.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Rev 2 3SGE oil surge with track tyres?
No issues with oil surge in the MR2 Championship on Toyo R888s. The revision 3+ sump is a better design than revision 1/2 if you're concerned.
If you went to full slicks then I'd consider using an accusump.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Adding a supercharger to an existing turbocharged 3S-GTE
Problems I'm having is with cams, I'm running HKS 264 intake and 272 exhaust but they never came with there dial in sheets so there not set up right. I'm guessing there's better cams out there for my set up? What do you think Patrick? Give Matt a shout and I'm sure he'll guide you to the cams that ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Adding a supercharger to an existing turbocharged 3S-GTE
Did Toni's twincharger get finished? I seem to recall reading her post about it being nearly complete quite a while ago? "Finished" is such a definitive term. It's been run up on a dyno a couple of times now. The last session showed up some improvements that we could make to manage ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Toyota traction control
TRC equipped cars also had electronic brake force distribution (EBD), but I can't say for certain that this was tied into the traction control system. My first three MR2 turbos had traction control! Re: [Mk2] [NA] Hi all, new member with an old problem ECU ?
Just a note on your ECU. Since your car is revision 4, the ECU is transponder coded to the key - no other ECU will simply plug and play with your car. If you do get hold of another '550 ECU you'll need a key from the original car to go with it. If you get a '500 ECU then you can repin your existing ...

Engine failure at 7 minutes  Yeah, I picked this video because it showed him up front from the start (and there doesn't seem to be much of an appetite for racing on IMOC so I'm surprised someone had the attention span to watch that far in!). He'd already got a good season's racing under his be...

Totally forgot to finalise this thread. The car sold to a racer in the Dominican Republic who is doing very well in it by all accounts:

Re: More Fuel You (N/A Rev 5)
We've done some fuel testing with an MR2 Championship car (particular car had a revision 3 normally aspirated engine and UK ECU) - including fuel additives that are illegal in the racing series such as Millers CVL. In each case, in order to take advantage of the increased resistance to knock afforde...
