Well, just as I was getting excited about it going in this weekend...

The gearbox is the standard Rev2 box AFAIK. The bearing isn't close to fitting. Anyone have any guesses what's wrong?

Bolt/strap it down. Velcro will not help you in a crash.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] 1 of my split rims refurbed, too bling or ok?

My Rays split rims are also 1994 vinatage, and look the same construction.

1) did you remove the tyre to take the center out?
2) does the center part have a role in the sealing of the rim ?

I'm in the market for one - but how much do they fetch from breakers? i.e. what's a fair price to pay?

I pulled up with no lights, no power, and all the dash lights on, the started did not have enough power to even start turning the engine over. I came to...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Split rim refurb finished

how easy were they to split ?

might have a go with mine, would be so much easier to paint the middle with it taken out!

Re: Stereo problem !!

I'm having a similar problem with mine. I think its the car's OEM amp cutting out when the Headunit sends a signal that is too 'hot'. i.e. the problem was fixed when I EQ'd out all the loudness and bass. At least thats how it seems.

Re: Dear European fun drivers who has driven an Europen country?

Did this a few summers ago, would recommend it to anyone. We went down to Nice/Monaco first then round. Munich was a highlight, with Austria close behind. But then there's lake garda.... so many good places to see. This was our route, but we deviated off it whenever we could, you might notice it run...

Re: Mk3 Wheels

standard nuts are a bit long and look funny, try to get the ones off the MR2 MK3 or get some more (jimi sent me an ebay link for some). I use foam for a spare - but mainly because I need the frunk for luggage space.

Re: Mk3 Wheels

I can back lauren up on the understeer with the standard tyre setup. Mine is a dog atm, mainly because I just want to wear these tyres out before replacing.
