Yes speak to the young lad there he's very helpful and for a small cost might be able to get everything back in shape. How gutting when you'd only had them looking decent for 1 day :(

I'll be down at Simons on the 11th Feb I think.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Alcantara/Flocked Dash

Just bear in mind you get what you pay for.

Flocked trim to me feels like that very nasty felt that budget car manufacturers put in the bottom of cubby holes to stop things rattling. People then cover their entire dash with it =;

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] finally new sills fitted - then bashed to heck by MOT tester - options?

Bloody hell Allan, that's just not on! Looking at that they haven't used the right feet/jacking point as all the load of the car has been put onto such a small area, no sill no matter how strong can withstand 500kg over a 10mm lift point. On a side note mines going in for the sills doing at the same...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Turbo stainless exhaust suggestions

Easy enough to change tips but really the Fuji is the only off the shelf solution for looking close to stock. Failing that a reputable custom exhaust place can make one up for way less than a new Fuji. This is my full custom one on my V6: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a341/leewa79/2GR-FE%20Swap/...

Re: Classic Line Insurance

Also remember they do not give a pro rata refund if you cancel the policy. I 'nearly' got bitten with this when I insured the Alfa and sold it 3 months later. Luckily they added the overlap onto the MR2 insurance so I lost about 3 months insurance instead. They seemed pretty good for my MR2 at aroun...

And about 100mm long each too

The EPC illustration is rather poor in that it shows it to be approx 1/3- 1/2 of the full sill. The repair piece in reality is rather shorter!

Yay my car made it on here! Isn't it meant to be a thread about other favourite 2's? Plenty of threads running with owners cars! This is my favourite 2 http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a341/leewa79/19102009112.jpg Because: a) I saw it and took the photo b) It made the local news 2 months later afte...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] HKS SSQV dead

My old forester had a copy version, never had a problem with it!! So just shows you!! Yeah I had a cheapo Ebay version of the SSQV laying around and comparing them both together the Ebay one was substantially better made. I didn't make much of a fuss about it at the time as folk were all raving abo...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] The speedhut look for a fraction of the cost

I can't emphasise how much you don't want to pop the needles off. It's not so bad when the tach pops as it's a case of waiting to idle and place it roughly 900rpm etc. It's not so easy trying the same thing with the GPS at 30mph and driving. In the end it's safer to get the rear wheels in the air an...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] HKS SSQV dead

After 3 months my old unit did exactly the same, the plastic welds fail on the small legs behnd that face and it fails to seal. Went back to Fensport for a full refund and stuck with the standard recirc. For the money they are a massive pile of crap made as cheaply as possible! In my defence this wa...

[Mk2] [Generic] Rear Control Arm to Hub Bush

As above I thought it was my driveshafts that were knocking but after waggling this about it has way too much play in it and producing the noise I've been looking for. This one: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a341/leewa79/2012-10-22-222.jpg Looking around it doesn't seem like a bush that's replac...

Yes he does gerknobs and gaitors. But you'll be lucky to get hold of him using the forum as he's extremely busy with a lot of work from other marques too.

Give him a call or email him and he'll def get back to you, details are on his Edge Automotive interiors website.

Re: My Rev4 2GR-FE V6 Mk2 For Sale

All PM's replied to I've been into MR2's for the last 12 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. I learnt a lot and enjoyed building up the car to what in my mind is now a fairly unique Mk2 but doesn't shout about it! But no point keeping a car built to be driven sitting in the garage squaring of...

Re: My Rev4 2GR-FE V6 Mk2 For Sale

Cheers fellas, I realise it's worth considerably more in bits however I really would like to keep the car in one piece.

Currently have someone who wants first refusal whilst he figures finances and although the money would be handy I'm not in a massive rush to sell to the keenest breaker :thumleft:

My Rev4 2GR-FE V6 Mk2 For Sale

It’s with a heavy heart I have decided that I can no longer justify hanging onto a car I barely use one weekend a year! With that in mind I’m strongly considering selling the car and currently seeing what interest there is in it and feedback as to I keep it complete (much preferred) or break it for ...

Re: MR2 Outdoor Car Cover for the Winter months

£140 for mine. Semi tailored I think. http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a341/leewa79/DSC_0074.jpg Was breathable and felt lined and again wasn't really for the Rev5 wing. Sat a little high at the back but was fine. It's not something I'd use as an everyday thing, but if it only comes out every week ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] 2GR-FE conversion against 3S-GTE conversion

That's what I mean, that's 5K for the supercharger kit without the stock ECU, so would probably have to go to £6.5K all in for the Aurion setup and a Link ECU mapped? By the time you've reachedthose figures I'd be tempted to go for a low blow Rotrex setup. It would also leave it fairly future proof ...
