They sound like the more aggressive springs if they are a 30mm drop? The coils must be wound awfully tight if they clang together!
Thanks for the feedback
On a recent Pistonheads meet I was struggling to keep up with some fairly mundane modern cars simply because when the going got a little quicker the car bounced over bumps and my vision started to blur. So I'm contemplating different springs as the ones I have on are simply too stiff to be any good ...
What does it do? 8-[ I've got man in dandism mats... It's a stock turbo timer \:D/ A rare factory option I have a couple more items to add, once I get some pics :thumleft: What does a turbo timer do...? It's there so that when you switch off the ignition the engine keeps running, meaning a certain ...
Not sure what the ebay Jobbies are like but when it comes to the bolts and especially stainless bolts there are only certain grades that are up to the job of been used on alloys. I got mine from a company called www.titanium-touch.de and although possibly not the cheapest they are made for alloys an...
Looking for a Mk2 now and the age they are all at, I'd be making sure the sills/bottom of the doors are rock solid. Also evidence of suspension work, if it hasn't had any in the past it's most likely well past its best. I wouldn't use mileage as a pointer towards value or condition with these cars T...
If they are 2 piece it will make things a lot simpler. Undo all the bolts and the centre should knock out, send them off for powder coating. The rims themselves would be best to tackle by getting some Nitromors on them. You'll be sanding forever if its a decent coat of paint. Once all the paint is s...
Hi Ross
I'd stick to your guns on that price.£1200 for a car that has if you were to do it yourself £1000 worth of the best roadgoing suspension you can get for the Mk2. If I wasn't right in the process of buying a house and you could hang on for 6 weeks I'd bite your arm off (been serious too)
Where the outermost pad sits against the face of the caliper, is there a build up of rust/crud? Sometimes it makes all the difference.
If it's 'almost there' a light tap with a hammer can help things along but I stress no smashing the things on
haha i know if i buy these now some cheap raybrigs will pop up next week. I wouldn't bother, I sold mine on. Cheap and nasty plastic lenses, terrible cut off point and no better than stock IMO. If I was doing a lot of night driving again I'd look into Cibie or a Hella housing upgrade. Pay a bit mor...

Just out of interest how much would you ask for it if you were selling, what would be your minimum? have not actually seen a 2gr for sale..

Er, £8500
There's a reason there isn't any for sale, they're brilliant!
Hi Luke, will this eventually isolate the filter completely from the engine bay? Looking at the siting of it, it may be workable with my engine with the right hosing etc and if it can be seperated from the engine bay I'll definitly be interested! I reckon it cost me a good 15-20hp when I was on the ...
Flip side of running an older car is that parts are a piece of p1$$ to source, problems are easier to identify and no over reliance on electronics. Regardless of what people say about these cars, they are pretty simple to work on and not beyond the home DIY mechanic. 55plate 350Z will be the high ra...
Yeah the tailpipes on the Fuji are a tad oversized but they aren't too obvious. This was the Fujitsubo on mine: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a341/leewa79/2GR-FE%20Swap/DSC_0019.jpg And the custom one: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a341/leewa79/2GR-FE%20Swap/DSC_0071.jpg http://i14.photobuck...
2gr or turbo!!!!! Have to say though i feel there is something a bit limp wristed about the 2gr... Yes i know the performance is mental.... But its not in my opinion what MR2s are all about... whooooooorrrrrrr psssssshhhhhhhh You just cant beat it \:D/ Nah, the 4 pot was used as fitting a V6 into t...
If you have a main car and this is going to be garaged/pampered etc you'll be able to get a classic/custom policy no problem. I used to be with Flux/A-plan and it was always around £800 which hurt a lot for the miles I did. Even with no, no claims bonus on my MR2 (it's on my Yaris) The insurance for...
Depends on your budget and what you want out of the car?
I wanted more go than the standard Turbo and wanted the response of a big n/a. I went 2GR V6 which is a fantastic thing, but its downside is cost.
As far as downsides go that is it, the rest is fantastic
