Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] help , just had new system fitted and it's hardly boosting
Other than the heater fans the only other blowing noise I can think of is the rad or intercooler fans. Where was the blowing nosie coming from, front or back? If the engine bay temp sensor was disconnected the intercooler fan would have been on all the time. Maybe this was the case and the garage n...

Re: anyone seen DJ hero yet ?
I was hoping for one that had a fake record spinning with proper pitch controls to change the speed so you can properly DJ. If they can do it with a CD Deck then they can do it for this. Mixing isnt hard once you "get it" IMO. apparently you can have '' scratching face off's '' online , l...

[Mk2] [Turbo] how does the actuator arm connect to the wastegate
I know one end of the actuator is bolted on to the turbo but what about the other end of the arm , is it clipped on , screwed on ? , because I think mine is not connected to the wastegate, due to having my downpipe recently fitted from a garage , I have no boost/power at all. so I think the wastegat...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] help , just had new system fitted and it's hardly boosting
Is the actuator arm still attached to the wastegate? If not it will just be flapping open and you wont produce boost. If the garage did it take it back, tell them to sort it. Graeme why wouldn't the actuactor arm be attached , do you have to take the arm off to fit the downpipe ? . also what is the...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] help , just had new system fitted and it's hardly boosting
If its not boosting much or at all then the boost gauge isn't going to go up either! The boost gauge uses a vacuum pipe from the manifold to get a reading i believe so no sensor involved as such. so you could be saying a vacuum pipe isn't connected due to the boost gauge not working , also when I t...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] exhaust blowout and low boost
More expensive, better manufacturing process etc. Yours will be fine, if its not Fensport will sort it for you. Ebay downpipes are cheap for a reason. I've just had my system fitted with an aussie downpipe not cheap , and my boost is low and also the boost gauge does'nt go up any more. please dont ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] what is honestly better an aftermarket air filter or original airbox
i used to have a apexi cone filter on my turbo but all it seemed to do was suck hot air from the engine bay so i removed it & put in an arc air box much better Agreed, since removing my K&N cone and fitting an ARC the car seems less affected by outside temps than before. I used to have a K&...

so a cone filter is better used with a turbo , or isn't there much difference

so why would the more expensive ones fit better ? , I have an aussie dp being fitted soon got it from fensport. it's a good one apparently will this dp have more chance of not getting caught on the wastegate, if so how?
