Re: Euro Trip 2009. Ring/Amsterdam/Stelvio/Italy
Ok..you might want to check this on a map while reading lol. It can be confusing. It's a very straight-forward route though in words it's a challenge to explain lol especially since I'm not English. Well if you're heading for the Nordschleife from Amsterdam.. you'll be driving south on the A2 throug...

Re: Nurburgring - 1st trip, advice needed
The average speed on the A4, A61 and the A1 is about 130-140km/u.. there are some restricted sectors where only 100km/u is allowed. You don't have to be afraid for camera's and things like that.. it never happens on these autobahns.. I've never seen a camera in the past 10 years or so lol. You bette...

Re: Euro Trip 2009. Ring/Amsterdam/Stelvio/Italy
You can get it all at any place here except for the red light district in Amsterdam.. which to be honest.. kinda sucks anyway lol.
Amsterdam is overrated.

Re: Euro Trip 2009. Ring/Amsterdam/Stelvio/Italy
Why would you go to Amsterdam.. such a gay place. Better spend a day driving in/around the Eiffel.. that's the area around the Nordschleife.. twisty roads.. very nice. I can give you some nice routes towards the Nordschleife.. I always drive the tourist route to the Nordschleife.. I can take the aut...

Lauren, the indoor kart and the museum and all that.. it's all gone. They're building something big though.. including rollercoaster etc.

Re: Nurburgring - 1st trip, advice needed
Ok thanks guys, looks like the trip might be pushed back to september now to wait for a friend to finish his build. Possibly from 13/09 to the following weekend, ive found out some of the days we might be there, there will be industry testing. I assume this is when manufacturers test their cars, is...

Re: 911 Carrera
I think there should be a nice balance between absolute grip and a sweet spot where the car is kinda.. loose. You know that feeling you get when you're in the middle of a corner, doing little adjustments and trying to make the corner just perfect.. you can feel every movement of the car in your bott...

Re: 911 Carrera
Better handling or easier to drive.. big difference.
Besides.. you (and 99,9% of IMOC) will never be able to match those laptimes anyway so why bother..
Just drive the car you like.. as long as you're having fun.. and if it's faster then a Integra.. then it's all good.

Re: 911 Carrera
I think a stock Integra can go around in about 8:40~8:50.. probably a bit slower..but it depends on tyres a lot.. a rev 3 Turbo will be a lot faster I'm absolutely sure about that.. too much uphill on the NS and the Integra lacks power in those places.

Re: 911 Carrera
Well, going by a couple of youtube clips and a few google searches, teg's manage between 9:09 and 9:20. So around a minute slower than the r26's 8:17. Obvious flaws in this comparision are noteably the lack of information regarding the circumstance of the dc2 times i.e. modifications, driver capabi...

Re: Adjusting k-sport coilovers?? HELP PLEASE
I've had ksports too, the kontrol pro version. I wouldn't recommend them for daily driving. Far too harsh.. way too stiff. Nice on a nicely, flat track.. scary on bumpy roads. I blew the first damper after just 2 trackdays and about 20 laps Nordschleife. I don't cruise around though. If you want a n...

Re: Adjusting k-sport coilovers?? HELP PLEASE
You don't adjust car height by adjusting the spring perch.. adjusting the spring perch infects the spring preload. You'll have to take of the front wheels and undo the 2 big bolts at the bottom of the shock (lower mounting bracket) where they're attached to the car (my technical english sucks, sorry...

Re: HELP ! Not sure about V6 conversion
I've beat a v6 on the nordschleife with my n/a 155bhp lump. Nordschleife is one big twisty road.. I guess it also depends on the driver..
Ultimately the rev.3 Turbo will be faster but less involving.
