Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] do I need to buy a boost controller before I have a turbo back system fitted
i ran my last turbo with a decat etc and was fine, it will most likely raise the boost abit but cant see it being much, is just the same as people raising the boost, what rev do you have?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] do I need to buy a boost controller before I have a turbo back system fitted
a boost controller cant turn the boost down like that, can only raise it, if you wanted to fit anything, you would need a restrictor ring in the exhaust so you dont see boost creep.

I wouldnt like to say, i dont think it should but i know there only held on by a few brackets.
May help if you can take off some of the heat wrap as wont put so much stress into the downpipe then.

Re: Well I guess this explains the problem!!...
I ended up getting a japspeed one as was the only one i could get the next day, although i got rid of the car now so cant say how its held up.

If i was to get another though it would be either a berk or one with a flexi in so shouldnt crack.

My old aussie downpipe cracked in exactly the same place and again just down from it, cant remember about the performance though as was like it when i got the car so changed it straight away.
