Well must admit I had a great time yesterday, first time driving the car in angry since I've stripped it out and added some suspension upgrades. Really sorry I didn't get to around to meeting you lot I was so busy getting on the track and chatting to other people before I knew it, was time to go :(....
Jason_pmr2 me and Tomiam will be there all day in a blue and white (Depending if I get around to cleaning it) mk2 mr2 's. We ain't experts but happy to try and help you out with the settings on the day. As Stated above it's a good idea to start around the middle and then do one adjustment at a time ...
Very Nice Jonb, it's quite impressive to see you keeping up with the new m3, and the times you recorded ain't anything to laugh about!
Have you thought about getting the car mapped or happy with the extra safety of the stock ecu?

To be honest I would like them to keep the high speed feel to the course, to help create a level playing field. Last thing we want is just lightweight cars entering because all the courses are to slow. I have a far amount of faith in the team behind the series to give us a good mix of tracks to test...
Weighted the car again today after removing the interior and various bits and pieces. It came in near enough as 1140kg (1180kg with a full tank). This ends up pretty close to where Jonb- got to and while a 80kg loss might not sound that much the car does feel far more responsive. I recon there is pr...
All looks good guys, be nice to meet up again. I think for me it's going to be a bit of a learning session as the car is quite different from last year and ideally I'd like to play around with settings and just find one which suits me. This time I won't be running around with crap rear damper settin...
Some good video's there and nicely put together. Looks like a load of fun.
Must admit quite tempted to have a go but not sure I'd want two mr2 trackcars

Was good fun to pop along yesterday, definatly better then the last motor show I went to at the NEC. I'd recommend people going along today if you've been thinking about. It's worth bartering a bit, although my Arai helmet still cost loads lol. Still at least I'm happy I've got decent safety equipme...
Two fold reason for Rockingham again - 1) I have Toyo R888's on now and not Champio's.. So I can now corner. 2) Its a relatively safe track and as Im letting my dad drive... well enough said. This also might have somthing to do with your 100% crash/spin trackday record  I'll make sure i've...
£28 for basic none trade admission
I'm going to pop along on Saturday as I could do with buying a Seat and Helmet. I'm hoping the prices are competitive and there's a good choose. Not sure what else I'm expecting to see there but will be a laugh.

TRD's are the softest after market ARB's as far as I'm aware. This means they are less likely to cause the damage. I haven't read of any issues caused by the TRD's, but I guess as with all things its how you drive ;) I would be looking at going for them myself if I was doing more driving on the road...
Monkeyra I got them from twosrus in America. Not the cheapest things but if you plan to run ARB's other then TRD's, it's worth the extra expense for peace of mind. http://www.twosrus.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=22_32&products_id=315 Thanks for the write-up Patrick in all honestly Im surp...
Thanks for the response guys. After doing a bit more research I've order some re-enforcement plates for the front ARB's (due to potential chassis damage) and Im also defiantly going to give the whiteline's a go. Just a quick question about these though does anyone know the % increase in stiffness c...
Hi guys I'm considering changing the stock anti rollbar items, but I'd like to get some feedback from people who've done the same. Now the car itself to be used purely as a track car so improved stability and grip is the end goal. Thought at present are either TRD or Whiteline ARB's, and I'm siding ...
Weighed the car today at a weight bridge in Redditch, so I thought Id share the findings with everyone. Car has stock body work, including the wheels. Specifications which may have reduced the weight: No ABS Tintop GT-S spec Tools + Spare wheel removed from the car. Modifications which may have red...
Thanks for organising the weekend Anna, me and my friends had a great time. Was sorry to hear about the knock you had Turbo-G :( was a bit unlucky on the first time out but i'm sure it will be sorted in no time. Don't let it put you off! Being the first trackday I've done in the UK I was a little co...
