Re: tubby + rain dont mix

Absolutely, always thinking of the members! Played crash test dummy once too. http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x100/sysanguinary/FrontEnd.jpg This hurt quite a bit. Not just because of the head on impact. But because it was my first 1.5's first day on the road. Still, I proved the shell ...

Kind of thing you only do once. Then, when you stop shaking, you ask yourself "why the hell did I just do that??!"

Re: tubby + rain dont mix

DO NOT what ever you do, start fiddling with the coil and leads in the rain to see if that's the problem. My old Tubby had similar symptoms so, whilst it was peeing down, I opened the lid and had a prod about at the leads etc.... It would appear that the coil had cracks in it that were not only lett...

I'm not clear whether you've checked the fusable link yet. Have you stripped the cable tape back before the +ve terminal on the main loom yet and inspected the link there?

Re: Superedition project part 1 of 3 completed ~ Pic Heavy ~

The cage was very well made. Obviously a compromise on a full set up, however for a car that was used on the commute, it wasn't too intrusive. It also made the harnesses much easier to fit than that on my previous Mk1s!

Lol! That's the one that I had in the Supernail then. I sold the car to Neil when the family business fell apart. It's the original. David then had another made for GUB.

All these parts keep going around!

That looks like a cage that David Hawkes has had made? There was one in my 1.5, which he owned when it was still a Supercharger and one in GUB I believe.

Re: Drive to Applecross - Saturday June 7th

Now that looks like an excellent day!

A fill up with super in Fort William should see you back to Inverness I reckon. Most of the roads to the East of Shieldaig are good for fast cruising, so most cars won't be on boost too much.

Wish I was there! :thumleft:

Re: Drive to Applecross - Saturday June 7th

That route has you doing the Applecross pass twice though. If it we me, I'd head to Applecross using the pass and after a bite to eat at the Applecross Inn, head North along the coast to Shieldaig. Spectacular scenery beckons!

Re: Drive to Applecross - Saturday June 7th

Have a look at heading into Applecross over the pass and back out North towards Shieldaig. The views across to Raasay and Skye are stunning and it gives you a cracking circular route. :thumleft:
