Re: Speaker fitment / Wiring diagrams. please contribute!

kicker 3.5" coaxials for the rear dropped right in (if i hadnt lost most of the screws!). may need some padding to get a better sound.

Re: standard bov

farting? can someone explain this...i recently put an apexi kit in a rev2 and its groans under low revs. it sounds like the air is trying to get back out and making a pringles style burp but more hollow.sounds like its coming from the induction kit side, its loud too. really nervous about pushing it!

Re: induction 'pop', slow spool up.

er.

the wheeze sounds right, like the engine is taking a deep breath through its "teeth". not sure about the dump valve at atmosphere though.

have you lost power? that is the important thing!

Re: induction 'pop', slow spool up.

It doesnt sound like uncle joey. the key noise is the pringles tin pop. but deeper. sounds like the induction kit is burping. and the loss of power is a buger. really slow spool up - bit like a normal asspirated power delivery.

Re: induction 'pop', slow spool up.

right...the only connection to the intake pipe is from a connecting pipe directly behind the AFM bit, this leads to a metal pipe connector/junction ( ) that eventually leads to the throttle body, but branches off to the BOV and another one somewhere else  could your day get any worse? I ...

Re: induction 'pop', slow spool up.

i read an earlier thread that mentioned a air pipe running from standard box, but i dont remember there being anything. the only connection i remember was the multiplug connector for the AFM. I will have another look in a bit, the last trip was suspicous, theres only so many times i can say i saw s...

Re: induction 'pop', slow spool up.

yep. lost from the start but willing to learn.

as far as i know everything engine is standard except exhaust and now induction.

The blow off valve has always been subtle, and i presume OEM.

As i am a cheeky Bstd i am at work not working so i can only check at lunch!

Re: induction 'pop', slow spool up.

The standard BOV was working fine with standard airbox, i have heard bad stories about up...

still happening, kind of like a dog sneezing, or like a 8ft pringle tube being opened. but quieter. or a clown being shot from a canon in an indoor swimming pool. you know?!

Re: why MBC?

Yep, its got to happen...I think it will be a while, i want to vac form a panel for three gauges that will push fit into the 'remaining slot' under the stereo. i can get the passenger to read out the values, keeps them out of mischief!

Re: why MBC?

Sounds like a good idea! need a gauge first though, just dont want it to look all chavish with glowing LEDs flashing and bolt on dials under my furry dice. quite like the three in a row under the radio style. hard to keep an eye on it down there? may have to fashion one myself with balloons and pape...
