Re: Feed back on RTD ecu's, looks promising
Hi Andy, From what i can gather it means that all we have to do is fit a map sensor and rip out the afm and away we go! The price is the same no matter which revision but it just for 1 so the more we buy the more the price drops :!: Need to find out more on this ECU but i don't know what else to ask...

Re: Feed back on RTD ecu's, looks promising
Sorry for the long delay in replying. Right Derek does know the pin layouts but he wants to know so he can arrange for the dash lights and guages to work and also for the different revisions plus the pin layout on the MR2 is slightly different i would of thought to the Celica. The ECU won't work the...

RTD supplied TTE Europe with ECU's to control the celica rally cars and still do, aparntley they do an ECU for the new Corolla T Sport which is currently being rallied in south africa and has won for the p...

Re: AEM or Power FC stand-alone
Hi JJ hope your doing ok and had a good christmas, not spoke to you in ages?!? From what i was lead to believe was that the AVCR and the Power FC work together in the way that if you change boost settings i.e from A to B or OFF, it changes the map inside the Power FC for the fueling :?: Apparently t...

Re: AEM or Power FC stand-alone
Hi all, havin read all this i am now in a bit confused about what ecu to use as to which one is best. I have a Rev 1 Tubby to which i was planing on changing the wiring round to Rev 3 and i had decided to use the Power FC due to it being cost effective plus i have an AVC-R. Am i right in thinking th...

Re: Andy Jones Spark Plug Colours & Comp Ratio
Sorry I meant in regards to the benifit of placing them into "moderately" tuned engines. Only if your running a 400bhp+ beast/race car are they any benifit. But if your running a 250bhp mr2 its not worth the £70+ squid. Platinums are fine..like NGK BKR7EP-8. No problem dude, just thought ...

Re: Speedo De-Limiting & Mileage Adjustment
Sorry matey, this job has to be done by your self! No garage will do it as you will be winding back the clock if you want to put the correct millage on the dials. best thing is to do if your are going to put the mph converter on your tubby is take a picture before clearing showing the mileage in kmh...

Re: Andy Jones Spark Plug Colours & Comp Ratio
Iridiums are just a gimmick. All they do is foul quicker (dont like short journeys) and have no better performance than Platniums. The best plugs to go for all round for moderatley tuned 3sgte are NGK Plats BKR7EP. I disagree, iridiums are better as they cope with the heat better under higher boost...

YES PROVIDING YOU CAN KEEP THE INTAKE TEMPS DOWN TO A SAFE LEVEL AND YOU HAVE THE TURBO TO PRODUCE THAT PRESSURE OOOH AND A GOOD TUNER. BUT THE ENGINE WON'T LAST VERY LONG!

Me personaly i don't like super chips as it is mapped for 1 particular car and not yours and i've heard some bad tings about them. Yeah it will proberly help but i would stay away from them but thats just me! You really are better off letting the engine breath better, get the air in and out, quicker...
