Well to wrap this adventure up . . Yesterday i sold the mr2 ,It was sad to see it go but the next chapter in my life has started ,buying a house . Watch this space for my lawnmower build when i get one , gonna forge a briggs and stratton engine and run nos on it ,Hoping for a 24 inch blade on an 18 ...

nothing like a good 90 degree bend to mix the fuel and air up :eye:

chris, i want to do it to mine purely so i can get shot of the dizzy , : But as for trigger wheel, you dont need one as you can use the signal from the dizzy : do you want the dizzy or not :oldtongue: if you are keeping the dizzy for the sensor then why not keep the stock HT leads , will look nicer...

have you got a diffeernt map sensor ?? i seem to remember the 800's in mine were set to 65 when i had toyota map sensor ,when i changed to gm map sensor i think it got changed to 56 was a lot easier to change that by a few percent rather than change every point on the map . i would say 63 would be f...

just use the nylocs ,a little trick i do is to fill the allen key hole up with grease stops the hole rusting and consequently rounding off when the rust comes loose .
also put grease on the thread after you have done the nut up ,
this will also stop corrosion from making the nut stiff to come off

possible the brass heater pipes which run above the fuel tank have a leak, very hard to spot as tends to drip ontop of the undertrays so cant see it
easiest to see if you take off the manifold heatshield and look where the brass pipes run through

i would just change the oil in the sump as normal. the oil cooler and pipes will not hold that much so there shouldn't be too much old oil in there anyway .

i have wossner pistons i have no piston slap issues and they have coped with 10000 miles of mixed abuse up to and beyond 450 bhp
