Re: Rust above windscreen

Thanks for comments. Insurers windscreen people had a look and have told they'd replace the screen on the insurance if I wanted it done, as there's some light damage already. So no hassle if the screen has to come out.

Re: Rust above windscreen

Thanks Rick - just what I wanted to hear. Yes, did think my screen would have a little accident ...then whilst the screen is out...!

Worth that money to have no rust and no scratches on the screen. Going to talk first to the body repair people. Got nice local one that does cash deals and no VAT!!!

Rust above windscreen

Only bit of rust on my car is the usual bubbles above the windscreen. Not getting bigger but I'd like to get 100% fixed. I realise it's windscreen out job and screen breaks when removed. No problem as screen has a few small scratches so nice to get that perfect also. Mines a T bar so the above scree...

Re: Room for me?

Note Mark 1's are amazingly cheap to run. If you don't need business use and are over 25 the club do a set price insurance. About £200 fully comp. Of course depreciation is zero also. Plus we enjoy about 32 mpg even if you thrash it a bit. Lighter weight but geared for acceleration means you can enj...

Re: Room for me?

Well I wouldn't be able to fit the tbar behind the seat if I had one, its just I was told the MK1 cockpit is a bit smaller than the Mk2, suppose the best way is to find one and try it! Sorry, meant T bar panels behind seat! Went to correct but got interrupted! Hope you can fit 'cos they're a blast ...

Re: Room for me?

Nikaso, Interesting ...don't think you'll find it that roomy in the Mark 1. I'm just 5 foot 8 inches and tend to have the seat in it's rear most position. It just gives me room to get the T bar behind the seat. I never realised there was a difference in the cockpit room between the models but clearl...

Re: NEW MEMBERS - Don't be shy, click here!

This is a good idea. Recognise some of the South East names on posts in here!!! I'm Andrew Jackson and live in Banstead, Surrey. Have a white t bar...one of the last ...and go along to some South East meets. Married, have two kids, 12 and 14. Elder one Sam comes along to meets particularly the pubs ...
