Re: Speedo not working - any ideas?

Put some electrical connection h=grease carefully onto the loom pins where it meets the gearbox sender (presuming it is an electronic speedo type)

I say carefully because you don't want the grease to bridge the terminals.

Sorted mine out perfectly.

Re: Torn between two , mr2 turbo or Subaru impreza WRX ?

Oh I forgot to say - my car was an NA for the first 6 years of my ownership and it has been a rev3 turbo powered car for the last 10. The Turbo engine transforms the car into something beyond your expectations. I loved my NA and agree that you long for more power but I never expected the difference ...

Re: Torn between two , mr2 turbo or Subaru impreza WRX ?

For me it would be the MR2 Turbo every day of the week unless I was actually competing in a rally or if it were a daily driver. It doesn't matter that as a point to point car the WRX is way better with 4wd because in the most important way of all, the WRX is lacking...... The MR2 demands focus, ever...

Re: TOMS C7r Split Rim Wheels - much demand?

They are quite rare and I have been collecting them for a few years now. I have 2 sets of 16's and a pair of 17's from a Supra rear end to make a double staggered set from at some point. As a quality item goes they are extremely well made and by one of the best wheel manufacturers. They were a Toyot...

OK mate, I understand. Let me know if someone wants the front, I've got a white line rear so will hold out for just the rear at the moment.

Re: Did they make MR2 Turbo's in this colour?

Yeah they did rev 2s in this colour and turbo. I know because I have a UK car in this colour which I converted to turbo and spent years getting hold of genuine turbo side stripes in the denim blue colour.

The car on your link is definitely an import at least because it is a tin top.

Re: New car or engine swap?

I converted the Rev2 NA that I had owned for 5 years to a Rev3 Turbo for exactly the same reasons as you.

10 years later and I still absolutely love the car, the power delivery and general driving experience is a theatrical event that never gets boring.

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)

Had a great lunchtime reading some of this thread! Car is lovely so credit to you and former keepers!

2 Questions:

1/ What is the spare wheel cover from?

2/ I have an OBD1 reader like that and want to rig it up like yours is - could you put some pictures up of how it is plumbed in?

Re: [FINALIZED] Genuine Work Meister S1's in perfect MR2 fitment

Bump for Adam - known him for something like 10 years now and can advise anyone to tryst him and the parts he sells. I agree 100% with the price and they will definitely hold their value as probably the most sought after Japanese wheel. I would have them in a heart beat but I have far too many wheel...
