i just thought could the head gasket really just go like that? when i was just cruiseing at 70? not even accelerating hard

after stopping for a while itll go down th 1/3 and within 1.5 miles of motorway driving its very near the red.

this morning when i took it to the garage for being left over night with the water being topped up, it went from stone cold to 2/3 of the way in under 5 mins.

no it was fine on the test drive, no mayo or anything very clean car, it was fine for about 50miles. then just crusing home at 70mph. no lies.cos i didnt want to use the boost on the way home

i dont suppose you know if its the same as the n/a cap? or do i have to order it, do you know any good stockists?

Is that the overflow cap on the coolant system (big white bottle) rather than the sprung cap on the pipework then? thats the one. ill have to try that , the cars is at the garage now just waiting for a phone call, to tell me the news. the thing thats making me think thats its more than that is that...

the cap is the one in the very fat back/left almost under the pannel.( a plastic/rubber one.)
