Re: [Mk2] [NA] Stereo fitting

I had the same problem with my Kenwood. I used a Dremel to modify the screw holes on the mounting brackets so that the stereo could sit a few mm forward.

Yes they've done a great job - now I just need to get the rest of the car resprayed to look as good as that wing. :D

Re: External window seals/scrapers - Part number?

That's a good price. If you're thinking of doing a bulk order then I'd be up for a pair of the external door/window seals (75710-17020 & 75720-17020).

Re: Front wing - UK vs Jap

Finally got this fixed last week. No need for a new wing, the old one was repaired and looks good as new. For bodywork fans Finishline even post work in progress photos on Facebook so you can see what they're up to: [click for album] https://scontent-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/t31.0-8/891990_870723...

Those rubbers are part of the mirror brackets:
67514-17020 (left hand side)
67513-17020 (right hand side)

Re: External window seals/scrapers - Part number?

By the way, on Amayama they list two prices - one for stock from Japan and one for UAE. The UAE price is normally cheaper but with a longer delivery time quoted. I've found it's actually quicker than they say, although some parts turn out to be unavailable from the UAE in which case they tell you st...

Re: External window seals/scrapers - Part number?

Been looking into this because I'd quite like to replace mine too. From amayama.com - £33.24 per side + delivery + VAT + import duty (and probably a Parcel Force charge).

Or maybe Trevor at TCB could get them for a good price?

Driver side: 75710-17020
Passenger side: 75720-17020

Report back on prices - I'm sure I heard somewhere that these are very expensive!

0.8mm for standard boost. BKR7Es always seem to come out of the packet at 0.8 but it's worth checking.

Yes, 1 litre is plenty. Sorry I didn't take any photos but once you've taken the undertray off it should be easy to spot the connection to the rack. Good luck!

I did this a while ago, I started a thread here:

You have to get the special Toyota EHPS fluid, part number 08886-01206. I got mine from this site:

Re: Front wing - UK vs Jap

The second body shop I visited have to quoted to repair the wing rather than replace it. I've used them before and trust them to do a good job. Maybe this is the sensible option.

RST - I'd love to get two brand new wings paid for by someone else but that might be a bit cheeky! :)

Re: Front wing - UK vs Jap

Unfortunately the wing has been quite well deformed, including a crease and cracked paint. The section behind the wheel has popped out from the arch liner and rubs on the door when it's opened. http://www.chrisward.org.uk/pics/wingdamage.jpg That wheel is pointing straight, the front edge of the arc...

Maybe I'm missing some context, but why must this wing be brand new?

To quickly recap - someone drove into it while it was parked, so their insurance is paying, so I want it repaired to the highest standard.

Re: Front wing - UK vs Jap

The rust proofing on my car has been compromised plenty of times already!

I'll make sure I get an original wing but Toyota are saying none available till end of May. :(
